Ending therapy when you’re ready to move on is a bittersweet experience for both you and your therapist. I can’t speak for all therapists, but for me, getting an update months or even years later is welcomed! We may not be your therapist anymore, but we still applaud your successes and mourn your losses.

As an MFT, I was trained to think of people’s struggles or issues in relation to others. We have little systems in all our relationships. The therapeutic relationship is no different. So, it can become transformative to both the client and the therapist. Our work isn’t just hearing hard and painful things each day. It’s witnessing healing, growth and change. Not to be too sappy… but it often feels like a privilege! As a therapist, I’m also changed in that process. It has expanded my view of our humanness, helped me to be more grateful for the family I grew up in and created, seen the resiliency in people, and truly believe change IS possible despite it being hard.

To all of the brave people that step inside our doors, thank you for those first steps. We hope we earn your trust and belief that you can overcome whatever it is you need support with.

As always, social media posts are not a substitute for therapy. They are for educational purposes only. If you’re needing support, check out our link in our bio.

Meet Hannah Cole! Hannah is a student Marriage and Family Therapist entering her second year of her Master’s program at Utah Valley University. She will begin seeing clients at our clinic early May!

Hannah is comfortable working with individuals 12+, couples and families. She currently works with depression, anxiety, OCD, marriages that have lost their spark and parent-child conflict.

If financial barriers are stopping you from going to therapy, working with a student can be a great option with reduced/sliding fee options. Students are still learning and growing, which also often means they’re on top of newer interventions, still in the trenches of theory and modalities, eager to dig deeper into what they don’t know yet, and more oversight and support from seasoned clinicians/supervisors.

She currently has openings for the more desired “after school” and early evening hours. Reach out today if interested in booking with her. Link to our website in our bio. *her website bio will be coming soon 👀 *

Last but not least, this little ballerina stretched herself in so many ways the last few years and grew up to be Amy Hanson, our administrative assistant!

Amy completed a bachelor degree in dietetics from BYU. She put a pause on her career to focus on raising her four busy boys. Several years back, while still being highly involved in their lives, she pursued nursing school and is on track to graduate this Spring! Many lucky families will get to work with her in the labor and delivery unit at the hospital she will work at full-time this summer. Sadly for us, this means her time at Willow Shore Counseling will come to an end.

Amy took on the brave task of helping Aislinn relinquish full control of all the clinic’s operations, and in so doing has alleviated additional stress of wearing too many hats! When Amy has free time between school, family, and job she enjoys reading, baking and listening to music. She also can claim seeing Taylor Swift in concert!

For her throwback song she chose The Middle by Jimmy Eat World because “as a worrier, turns out everything works out alright!” Knowing Amy personally, I’d say it wasn’t fluke but desire to grow, learn and do life different! We are so excited to see Amy grow in a new career and grateful for the way she has interfaced with clients and employees this last year!

Don’t bug out, but this kid grew up to be Savannah Scott, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Savannah graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah Valley University in 2024. She is currently on maternity leave but will return on a very limited basis next month with increasing hours in the Fall. She is our resident Swiftie who was lucky enough to travel to see Taylor’s final show in Vancouver.

As a clinician, she focuses on issues of anxiety, depression, infertility, postpartum anxiety & depression, mixed-faith relationships, relationship distress, religious scrupulosity, self-harm and suicidal ideation. She works with individuals 6+, and also works with families and couples. She has special training in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), a therapeutic technique used do anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma-related issues.

Her throwback song is “The Best of Both Worlds” from Hannah Montana. This was her favorite show as a kid, and one of Savannah’s first concerts was Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana (where she changed halfway through the show!)

Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about highlighting the whole team… but Spring Break got in the way.

This little bunny grew up to be Sara Hathaway, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Sara graduated in 2024 with a Master of Science from Valdosta State University. A few fun facts- she speaks Portuguese and always has the best homemade lunches!

Sara works with individuals 16+, with a focus on anxiety & OCD, depression, life and faith transitions, eating disorder concerns, and women’s issues. If you’re interested in scheduling with her, hop on our website to schedule a phone consult or book an appointment!

She chose Breathe by Michelle Branch as her childhood song as she has memories of jamming to this song from a toy music player she had 💕

This little juggler grew up to be Stephanie Hundley, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Stephanie graduated with a Master of Social Work from UVU in 2019. She works mainly with Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Codependency, Grief, Life Transitions, Relationship Concerns, Self-Harming, and Faith-transitions. She works with individuals and couples, including those in non-traditional arrangements.

Stephanie was the first employee at Willow Shore Counseling, and took the risk of joining a baby group practice! She and Aislinn have co-presented on eating disorders and challenging anti-fat bias in the field of therapy. She currently is accepting clients to her waitlist!

Stephanie’s throwback song is Into The Mystic by Van Morrison as it was featured in one of her favorite movies as a teen, “Dream a little dream.” It also reminds her of her dad dancing in the living room when she was a kid!

This little kid grew up to be Chanel Judkins, associate mental health counselor. Chanel has special interest in depression, anxiety, faith transitions, trauma and self-acceptance work. She graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rocky Mountain University in 2025.

Fun facts about Chanel is she is fluent in Spanish, a certified yoga instructor and is trained in EMDR for trauma. She’s also our resident tea drinker and you’ll often find her enjoying a warm mug! She currently has one to two spots open in her schedule and can accept a variety of insurances including Medicaid! Hop onto our website if you want to learn more.

Chanel chose Caribbean Blue by Enya as her throwback song as she wouldn’t fall asleep without her music playing as a child.
