Ever wanted to watch 550 goats cross a bridge? Here’s your chance!

Guess how long it took them all to cross. (Answer in the comments, and no, the video isn’t sped up!)
In the last 19 days, these girls have cleared 60 acres. 44 of those acres had never been cleared before. We had a clearing rate of about 3 acres a day. Now that they’re on maintenance areas that were already cleared once this year, they’re covering 10 acres a day.

Our herd is actively clearing 111 acres of native spaces in the Painted Tree neighborhood. We see these views every day and love sharing them with you.

Yesterday the goats cleared the right side of this bridge, and today they’re working on the left. Once they’re done, this waterway will be free of debris and overgrowth so it can flow the way nature designed it to.

🌿💧If you’re nearby, we invite you to come out and take a look (and a listen!) while the goats are in McKinney. It’s an incredibly peaceful place, filled with the steady chomping of happy, hungry goats.

Ever wonder what it takes to move a herd across a city trail system? 56 paddocks. 9 miles. 8 days. All in the heart of Dallas.

Watch the before and after, and the move to fresh ground. Our goats and sheep make it look easy, and so do the staff and volunteers who keep everything running.

Dallas PD helped us move the herd across Preston Road, one of Dallas’s busiest streets. 🚓🐐 Once everyone was safely in their new paddock, they got straight to work, and after 2 hours they were ready for the next one.

That’s 450 goats and 200 sheep clearing a quarter acre in just 2 hours! This project has been a huge success.
