Is it articulation… or phonology? 🤔

Many parents notice their child has trouble saying certain sounds, but not all speech sound difficulties are the same.

✨ Articulation is when a child has difficulty making specific speech sounds (like a lisp or trouble saying /r/).

✨ Phonology is when a child has difficulty understanding and using speech sound patterns, causing predictable errors like saying “tat” for “cat” or leaving off the ends of words.

Our little learners had so much fun celebrating the Fourth of July with festive speech and occupational therapy crafts! 🎆✨

From building fine motor skills with cutting, gluing, and coloring to strengthening language, following directions, turn-taking, and creativity, every craft was packed with purposeful play and learning.
