Meet Taylor (Lexington) and Gabby (Louisville), two of our incredible RBTs, and employee spotlights of the month!
Taylor says:"I have worked in ABA for 5 years, mostly in early development. And caregiving for 10 years, mostly in elderly development. I'm proud to say I have been on the front lines of supporting both the beginning and the end of life. Luckily, I have had incredible leadership to guide me and dedicated teams to work with me to be a part of uplifting victories like a child expressing their feelings for the first time or a lonely elder taking a walk in the park during a pandemic. To cope and learn from humbling crises like a child being rejected by a school due to behavior, or a patient and friend dying in quarantine, isolated from friends and family. In my experience, the sum of how to achieve victories and how to process and learn from misfortune is equal to the power of support systems, aka community. Out of all the imperfections and chaos of our mental healthcare system, we have landed on a substantially competent and caring community of talented, caring, and hungry for growth clinical coworkers working with a systemically misunderstood and hurt people for all human history. No pressure. Let's hold ourselves and each other up with grace, being mindful of our deep need for each other to bridge the gaps of understanding between us and our clients, our people, our purpose. To establish our own imperfect but improved clinical work supporting these incredible children."
Gabby says:"Hi, I'm Gabby and have just celebrated my two year anniversary with Higher Ground ABA Louisville! I have been an RBT for 5 years now and chose to work here to be able to focus on quality of care over quantity of clients! Finding this field and meeting the clients has forever changed my life and perspective! Everyday I am inspired and filled with joy working with our amazing kiddos. I recently got married in November and love to spend time with my family- my husband and our 4 cats! I love gaming, watching anime/reading manga, creating art and walks in a park!"
We're so grateful to have Taylor and Gabby on our team.
