Physicians are on the medical staff of The Ridge Behavioral Health System, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of The Ridge Behavioral Health System. 🌿 Find Your Path Forward with The Ridge Outpatient Services 🌿

At The Ridge, we provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Our outpatient programs are designed to help individuals build healthy coping skills, strengthen emotional wellness, and support lasting recovery for both mental health and substance use challenges.

We offer flexible treatment options, including in-person, hybrid, and virtual programming for Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), making care more accessible for those with busy schedules or transportation barriers. We also offer a convenient Evening Virtual Mental Health IOP.

📣 Coming Soon: New evening and virtual Dual Diagnosis IOPs for both adolescents and adults, providing specialized care for individuals facing both mental health and substance use disorders.

Dr. Butler brings more than a decade of leadership and clinical experience in psychiatry and medical genetics, along with a deep commitment to advancing compassionate, high-quality behavioral healthcare. A proud graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and recognized by Becker's Healthcare as a "Chief Medical Officer to Watch" in 2025, Dr. Butler is excited to return home to Lexington and serve the Central Kentucky community.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Butler join The Ridge family and look forward to the leadership, expertise, and dedication he will bring as we continue providing exceptional care to those we serve. 💙
