What makes CBA different?

We believe high-quality ABA is compassionate, individualized, and centered around meaningful outcomes. Our team is committed to helping clients and families thrive, from supporting individuals across the lifespan to providing services in the settings that matter most.

Every child, teen, adult, and family deserves care that honors their unique strengths, goals, and journey. If you're looking for support, we'd love the opportunity to learn about your family's needs and partner with you along the way!

Parent guidance is more than a service, it's a partnership!

Supporting a child's growth doesn't happen in therapy sessions alone. Meaningful progress happens in everyday moments: during mealtimes, play, bedtime routines, community outings, and conversations at home.

Our goal is to empower caregivers with practical tools, compassionate support, and individualized strategies that fit naturally into family life. Parent guidance provides a space to ask questions, celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and build confidence together.

When the WHOLE family is supported, children benefit from consistent, meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

This week we are celebrating and spotlighting Emma Mattingly, one of our Behavior Technicians in Lexington. Emma was nominated by Anne Claire Gibson, who shared the following:

"Emma takes great initiative in our clinic! She is consistently available to help and is willing to step in when a need arises. Emma shows a genuine eagerness to learn and is committed to supporting our clients in ways that truly meet them where they are. She also does an excellent job planning group activities that are both engaging and inclusive!"

Emma, thanks for being a part of team CBA and for your commitment to our clients!

If you have a staff member you've seen go above and beyond, we'd love for you to share in the comments!

Clinician-owned. Clinician-operated.

It’s a phrase you hear often in healthcare, but what does it mean?

At CBA, it means the people leading the organization are behavior analysts first. We have provided direct services, supported families through challenges, trained clinicians, and celebrated client successes.

Because of that, our decisions start with one question:

“What’s best for the clients, families, and staff we serve?”

Not shareholders. Not investors. Not corporate mandates.

Just a commitment to ethical, high-quality ABA services delivered by people who understand the work because they’ve done the work.

Recently, our clinicians expanded their learning with Katie Gibson, who currently works at Monroe Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Katie spoke about different approaches for working with severe behavior and how to better support our learners in the hospital setting. Katie is an absolute wealth of knowledge, and we are so grateful to learn from her!

Play is essential to learning—people can develop communication skills, problem-solving abilities, social connections, and leisure skills through play!

At CBA, one of our values is working with our learners across environments. When we work on growing skills across settings and in natural environments, those skills are more likely to stay because we practice them in environments meaningful to the individual and their family.

Check out some of the ways we've learned through play this week, and take a guess at some of the skills we could have worked on in each picture!

Show Us How You Play Wednesday! 🎉

Our circle time leader, Abby, has an important job today—circle time is about to begin! 🐻🦁🐰

Through imaginative play, our learners work on building communication, social interaction skills, and creativity while making sure all their animal friends are ready to learn. 💙

Play is one of the most powerful ways children explore their world, practice new skills, and express themselves. We love seeing our clients' unique interests come to life through pretend play!
