Kendal's campus and amenities are impressive but it's the residents who make the community truly special. Independent living residents can be found auditing classes at Washington and Lee University, volunteering for Meals On Wheels, traveling to Europe, attending a musical performance, strolling through historic Downtown Lexington, entertaining friends and living life to the fullest. 🎶 What a crowd! Yesterday, Kendal residents and staff took us on a musical trip across the country with American Places in Song, part of our celebration of America’s 250th!

From folk and blues to swing, pop, country, and more, our talented performers filled the room with music, memories, and plenty of smiles. 🇺🇸🎵

May was Try-It-Out Month at Kendal at Lexington! 💪🧘‍♀️

Residents were encouraged to try one of our new wellness offerings, including Functional Strength, Barre, HIIT Cardio Circuit, Stretch & Roll, Weight Training, and Meditation.

We’re excited to celebrate the 24 residents who participated and earned a “Fit for Life” T-shirt! Our Wellness Committee members also earned shirts for supporting these efforts and helping encourage greater participation in the Fitness Center.

We’re also proud to celebrate Kristen Youngman, recently promoted to Kendal’s Health & Wellness Program Manager! Kristen plays an important role in helping our residents stay active, healthy, and engaged. We’re so excited to see all she will accomplish in her new role! 🎉

Here’s to trying something new and staying Fit for Life! ❤️

There's nothing quite like spending time together in the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley! 💚

Our CFOs from Kendal recently enjoyed a wonderful hike at Natural Bridge State Park, taking in the incredible views and sharing lots of smiles and conversation along the way. It was a perfect day to experience one of Virginia's most treasured landmarks, the magnificent Natural Bridge, which was once owned by Thomas Jefferson.

Moments like these remind us that it's not just the destination that makes an outing special, it's the people we share it with. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day filled with fresh air, friendship, and unforgettable memories.💚
