- Level 1 provides Residents with a helping hand to fulfill daily activities.
- Level 2 is designed for Residents that require more assistance throughout the day.
- Level 3 offers comprehensive assistance to Residents with advanced special needs.

Shawnee Manor, Roselawn Manor, and Burton’s Ridge kitchens teamed up to provide a delicious meal for the Fall Dance at the Lima Senior Center! 🍂💃🕺 The food was amazing, the turnout was fantastic, and we had so much fun serving and connecting with the wonderful seniors in our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. We love opportunities to come together, share great food, and celebrate with our local seniors! ❤️

Did you know that our feathered friends are more than just beautiful pets? Here at Burton’s Ridge, we have a couple of birds that bring a refreshing touch of nature indoors and brighten the days of residents, families, and staff alike.

Research has shown that interactions with birds and other animals can help reduce feelings of loneliness, encourage social engagement, provide comfort, and create a calming atmosphere. Our birds offer companionship, spark conversations, and bring joy with their cheerful songs and playful personalities.

Whether residents stop by to watch them, listen to them chirp, or simply enjoy their presence, our birds help create a warm and welcoming environment that feels a little more like home.

We're grateful for the happiness these special winged residents bring to our community every day! 🐦🏡💙

🌮😊 Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying lunch together at La Charreada Shawnee today!

The food was delicious, the company was even better, and there were plenty of smiles shared around the table. Outings like these are a great way to enjoy time together, make memories, and support local businesses in our community.

Now that everyone's enjoyed some tasty Mexican cuisine, we're heading back with full stomachs and happy hearts... and maybe ready for a little afternoon snooze! 😴❤️

🌸 Meet Our New Activity Director! 🌸

Please join us in giving a warm Burton's Ridge welcome to Christina, our new Activity Director! 💜

Christina has been an Activity Director for 12 years and brings a passion for creating meaningful experiences, joyful moments, and lasting memories for seniors. She truly loves what she does, and we're excited for our residents and families to get to know her!

A few fun facts about Christina:

💜 Proud mom to two amazing children, Reagan and TJ
💃 Reagan keeps the family busy with competitive dance, while TJ keeps everyone on their toes!
🌽 Originally from Chicago, she never imagined she'd end up in Ohio surrounded by cornfields, but now she loves calling it home
🎓 Graduate of Indiana State University
🎉 Loves planning parties, making memories, laughing, and finding every opportunity to have fun

❤️ Most importantly, Christina's favorite part of her job is spending time with residents. She loves hearing their stories, building relationships, and helping make each day a little brighter.

We are thrilled to have Christina as part of the Burton's Ridge family and can't wait to see all the laughter, fun, and excitement she'll bring to our community!

Beach Ball fun was a hit in Memory Care! ☀️🏖️

Our residents in Memory Care had a blast playing a fun game of Beach Ball! Laughter filled the room as everyone joined in the excitement, keeping the beach ball moving and enjoying some friendly competition along the way. Activities like these are a great way to encourage movement, engagement, and socialization while creating plenty of smiles. To say the least, this game was a huge hit with our residents! 💙🏖️🎈

✨ Resident Spotlight: Michelle ✨

This week, we're proud to feature Michelle in our Resident Spotlight!

Michelle is a Lima native who spent 10 years in Wapakoneta before returning to her hometown roots. One fun fact about Michelle is that she's a twin! She has a twin brother and an older brother, and family remains an important part of her life.

Michelle spent much of her career working at St. Rita's and is the proud mother of one daughter and grandmother to four grandchildren. She has always had a special love for animals, especially her dogs and her two beautiful buckskin horses, Cori and Foxy.

When she's not spending time with friends, Michelle enjoys dining at Cracker Barrel and IHOP. She recently celebrated her birthday with a memorable dinner at Red Lobster. Michelle says she enjoys living at Burton's Ridge and can often be found socializing with fellow residents, especially her friends Joyce and Velta.

One of Michelle's favorite pastimes is bingo, and luckily for her, it's one of our favorite activities too! You'll often find Michelle joining in the fun and helping make our bingo games even more enjoyable.

Thank you, Michelle, for sharing your story with us. We are so glad you're part of the Burton's Ridge family and look forward to creating many more memories together! ❤️
