Warrior's Soul

Warrior's Soul Mental, emotional, spiritual and physical healing and well being. The horse is the guide in this process of learning, reflecting and exploration.

Equine Guided Education provides a supportive learning environment for participants to learn about themselves, heal what has been broken, and reconnect to what has heart and meaning. The Equine Guided Educator as “Educator” cultivates the integration of mind/body/spirit through interacting with a horse chosen specifically for that client and his/her issues.

Did you know...

Horses don't build trust with us through "perfect behavior," i.e., knowing "just what to do," being a "horse person," etc. They build it through consistency.

A horse learns to relax around someone who is calm, predictable, and clear. Over time, that consistency creates a sense of safety.

And really, people aren't all that different.

Whether you're raising a child, building a friendship, leading a team, or spending time with horses, trust is rarely built in one big moment. It's built in the small moments, repeated over time.

Sometimes it's the simplest things that matter the most. ❤️

Before you jump into the busyness of the (rest of the) week, (we know, it's already Monday afternoon, but still!) take five minutes (or more!) for yourself.

Step outside.
Take a few (or a lot of) slow breaths.
Notice what you can see, hear, and feel. (If you have a busy brain, this can be more difficult than it sounds, and more helpful than it may seem!)

You don't have to solve everything today. One of the most helpful things we can do is give our nervous system a chance to settle before we ask it to perform. And really, when we do - everything flows more easily from there.

A small pause can make a big difference. (Promise. And the horses agree.)

Wishing you a peaceful start to the week from all of us at Warrior's Soul. ❤️

Fun Horse Fact Friday! 🐎

Did you know horses can rotate their ears almost 180 degrees?

Each ear can move independently, helping them listen in different directions at the same time. It's one of the many ways they stay aware of what's happening around them.

We're always interested when we see those ears 'tune in' when something catches a horse's attention. It's information, noteworthy, and a reminder of just how observant and keenly connected these incredible beings really are.

Happy Friday from the herd! ❤️

Horse Myth vs. Reality 🐎

Myth: Horses follow the loudest, strongest leader.

Reality: Horses are much more likely to trust the one who is calm, clear, and consistent.

In a herd, leadership isn't typically about force - it's about creating enough safety that others choose to follow.

It's a beautiful reminder that confidence doesn't always have to be loud.

Sometimes the strongest presence is also the calmest. ❤️

What a beautiful day at Warrior’s Soul! ❤️🐎

On Saturday, we had the joy of welcoming 10 youth and their parents for a Horsemanship 101 event here at the ranch.

A heartfelt thank you to Fostering Our Youth and Phi Tran, Founder/President, for sponsoring this opportunity and helping make it possible for these families to spend meaningful time with
the horses.

Fostering Our Youth’s mission - Mentor, Inspire, Connect, and Outreach - aligns so beautifully with what we hope to offer at Warrior’s Soul: positive experiences, connection, confidence, and opportunities for youth to feel seen, supported, and encouraged.

The kids spent time learning about horse care, safety, grooming, leading, and what it means to build trust and relationship with a horse.

These photos capture some of the moments we love most - families gathered together, children stepping into courage, quiet connections with the horses, and the kind of learning that happens
through relationship.

We're grateful for community partnerships like this one, where shared values come together to create meaningful experiences for kids and families.

Thank you again to Fostering Our Youth, Phi Tran, our volunteers, families, and of course, the horses who make this work possible. ❤️🐎

A little Friday/weekend/it's-summer-let's-celebrate challenge from the herd today...

Find one thing to appreciate that you probably would have overlooked yesterday.

Maybe it's the shade of an old tree.
The smell of fresh-cut grass.
A cool breeze.
A conversation that made you smile.

The horses notice the little things. Maybe that's part of why they seem so content.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend from the whole herd here at Warrior's Soul! ❤️

Summer checklist from the herd:

☀️ Find some sunshine (It's really not hard to do where we are, but may require going outside!)
🌿 Spend time outside (See previous; )
💧 Stay hydrated (Playing in the water is fun, too!)
😂 Laugh often (The horses have their own version of this - highly recommend!)
🐎 Don't forget to stop and enjoy the scenery (If you need a refresher on this, the herd is happy to remind you how!)

The horses approve of this message. ❤️

Happy Monday! ☀️

Summer has a way of inviting us to slow down a little, play a little more, and spend a little extra time outside. (Even if the 'usual' things are still underway, like work, adulting, etc!)

So here's our question for you...

Where are you finding your joy these days?

Whether it's in the garden, at the water, around the dinner table, out on a trail, or spending time with horses (⬅️highly recommend!), we hope you're making space for the moments that fill you up.

We'd love to hear what's bringing you joy this summer. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead from the entire herd here at Warrior's Soul! ❤️

Hoof prints show up in various places - in the pastures, the arena, on our hearts... and sometimes, on paper! This activity was a huge hit this week during one of our day camps for kids. It was so fun to see the smiles, curiosity, and creativity flowing around this activity!

There are three more weeks in our July Summer Connection Series for kids and teens, and it's not too late to join us for one, two, or all of those weeks. Please see the event here on our page for more information or message us directly to register your kids. Each and every week has been a wonderful unfolding of learning, fun, confidence and skill building, and so much more. We'd love to see your kids experience this too! ❤️

Did you know... Community support has helped kids and individuals who couldn't otherwise afford it attend some of our camps and workshops. We've mentioned this here before, and we're endlessly grateful for it!

As Warrior's Soul is also home to a large herd of our incredible equine companions, that support also directly contributes to the quality of life for the horses, which we're so dedicated to. We have several aging warriors here who have given so much either through their presence in the sanctuary of the ranch, connection with those we work with, or often both. Donations, whether financial or through things like our Amazon Wish List page, help us ensure the care they so deserve, which sometimes includes increased veterinary care, special diets, and so on.

If you've been thinking about giving, financially or through our Wish List, know that every bit goes straight back into this place and the lives it touches, both four-legged and two-legged. And if you've ever felt a pull toward connection with one horse in this way, we're always happy and grateful to talk about direct sponsorship. Contact us here or through our website to open a conversation about what that might look like. It's a beautiful thing for all involved, including you. ❤️
