The next Free Legal Clinic will be hosted here THIS THURSDAY, SEPT 3, from 10 am - noon.

We are proud to partner with the NE Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers Project to provide these regular Legal Clinics here at Center for People, totally free.

Low-income Nebraskans may come and speak with a volunteer attorney from the Volunteer Lawyers Project about a variety of civic legal matters. All questions and advice are confidential and offered completely free of charge.

These legal clinics will be available on the first Thursday of every month for the rest of the year! Visit us from 10 am - 12 pm to speak with an expert and get the legal advice you need.

Tonight is the night 🙌

We are so excited to have been asked to partner in this event! Unity Inspired will be providing substance use screening and talking to our community members how addiction enhances the risk for cancer.

This as many of you know this is truly near and dear to my heart. Having lost my one and only sibling to cancer as a result of his own addiction. I want to help others understand the importance and impact this disease has on them not only short term but long term as well.

Come see us and say hi! We’d love to hear from you. Welove connecting with the community I grew up in, it’s humbling and inspiring. 🩵🩷

Whether it’s through a personal diagnosis, the loss of someone we love, or the fear and uncertainty that comes with not knowing, the weight of cancer should not be carried alone.

That’s why we’re bringing FREE cancer screenings to Lincoln next Friday, August 28th from 4-8pm.

📢We’re excited to announce CFAC’s first annual Fall in Love with Recovery Brunch 🍁(FLWR), taking place Saturday, October 3 from 11a-1pm at the Malone Center.



As part of this celebration, we’ll be honoring four individuals who make recovery visible, possible, and sustainable across Region 5 service areas.



We’re inviting you to help us identify the people who deserve to be recognize—whether they are a peer, a family member, or a professional, we want to recognize them!



Nominations are now open for:

The Peer Excellence Award – a peer who demonstrates exceptional leadership and commitment to recovery.
The Guiding Light Award – a supervisor who illuminates the path to success for their peers by providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
The Hidden Gem Award – a peer whose often-unseen contributions have made a meaningful impact on the recovery community.
The Bridge Builder Award - an individual who connects people, systems, services, and opportunities.

Back from the All Rise Conference in Nashville with the amazing District 3 Adult Problem Solving Court team! It was four days of learning, team building, and networking!

We love conferences, they generate new ideas, different perspectives, validation we are making a positive impact on reducing recidivism, building community, mainly positive outcomes on those who participate in these courts and their families.

The best one we attended was Rewriting Recovery! Getting out of that mind set of only one way to recovery! Guess what topic was discussed as an alternative way after Trauma, Grief, and loss??? TATTOOS! Yep, you read that right! We can say hands down it’s very therapeutic!

The research on all the different ways to recovery were validating to see! Community and connection still at the top! Opposite of Addiction is Connection ✔️

It’s uplifting and promising listening to Judges, Prosecutors, Defense attorneys, Supervisor Officers, Treatment Providers, and Peer Support striving for the same outcome of HEALING all in the SAME ROOMS!

There were 8,000 people that attended! That is amazing 🤩

Change is a beautiful thing to be apart of. This was a moment to remember 🥰

It’s only 9:40 am and we’ve been learning!! We found our space! Sitting in room full of peers perfectly imperfect! The empowerment VIBE is UNHINGED!

We found this super sweet card sitting in our group space first thing Monday morning.

We love that our space is being used to gather, connect, and encourage growth in recovery.

The NWOL group is particularly special to us at Unity Inspired. When you hold space authentically and truly care, people can feel it.
