Since 1997, we've dedicated ourselves to enriching the lives of Eastmont residents and those we serve at The Monarch through compassionate care and philanthropy. Since opening in 2003, The Monarch has provided quality hospice care in an intimate, homelike setting to over 1,000 people ranging in age from infants to the elderly. While most pay for their care, many through illness and life circumstan

ces do not have the resources to pay for their care. Thanks to our generous donors, The Monarch has been able to provide over $1.4 million in benevolent care.

Because of the generosity of our donors, neighbors, residents, families, and community partners, we're able to provide compassionate hospice care, ensure residents can continue receiving care when they outlive their resources, invest in our dedicated employees, and create meaningful opportunities that make Eastmont a vibrant place to call home.

After nearly two years of planning and coordination, one of Eastmont's most meaningful pieces of art has found its new home.

"Monarch Butterfly – Metamorphosis of Life," which stood outside the Monarch house on Pioneers, has officially been relocated to Eastmont's main campus. Now, it stands just to the right of our main entrance—a beautiful reminder that hospice care continues here, surrounding residents and families with compassion, dignity, and comfort during life's most sacred moments.

Moving a sculpture of this size was no small undertaking, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. In these photos and video, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the careful placement process—including Eastmont Executive Director Andrew Fisher helping ensure every detail was just right.

Also featured is the artist's original concept drawing and statement, now on display in Eastmont's main lobby alongside the sculpture. We hope it inspires visitors to pause, reflect, and appreciate the compassion and hope this beautiful piece represents.

Whether you remember it from its home at Monarch house or are seeing it for the first time, we're honored to have "Monarch Butterfly – Metamorphosis of Life" welcoming everyone who comes to Eastmont.

Because of the incredible generosity of our donors, Eastmont Foundation raised $36,180 during Give to Lincoln Day 2026—surpassing last year’s total and helping us continue our mission of care, compassion, and community.

Your gifts support programs that make a real difference, including Monarch Charitable Care, benevolent care for Eastmont residents, employee scholarships and emergency assistance, and community enrichment programs that bring connection, creativity, and joy to our campus.

The Eastmont Foundation hosted our annual Monarch Ornament Exchange on Sunday, December 7, in the Seasons Atrium—a special gathering to honor and remember those who have been cared for through the Monarch Hospice program at Eastmont.

Each year, Eastmont designs a unique ornament for attendees to take home, and guests are invited to place an ornament of their own on the Monarch Tree in memory of their loved ones.

A heartfelt thank-you to the Eastridge Hospice Singers for filling the Atrium with music and helping make the season feel truly merry and bright.
