We have more exciting news to share! James will be joining our team here at Mindful Matters LLC starting in June. Please contact us to get into his schedule as he will have some immediate openings the second week in June. Here's a little insight to James below:
Hello, I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, a safe space to have your story heard, understood, and re-authored. Joining Mindful Matters after five years as a special education teacher, I bring a deep, hands-on understanding of developmental needs and a passion for holistic support. I transitioned to counseling to help individuals not just academically, but emotionally and therapeutically. I draw upon Narrative therapy to help you explore your story, alongside Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to provide practical tools for managing life's challenges. My goal is to help you discover the inherent strengths and talents you already possess, supporting you as you work toward your personal goals. I recently earned my master’s in professional counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (May 2026). In my free time, I enjoy exploring local farmers’ markets, attending the Mile of Music celebration, hiking, reading fantasy and sci-fi books, and playing board and video games.
