With profound sorrow, the Marcus A. Allen Funeral Home announces the passing of Deacon Kamau O. Bell of Madison, Florida.

Born in Miami, Florida, Deacon Bell was reared in Quincy and Gretna, Florida, before later relocating to Madison, Florida. He devoted his life to serving others and made history as one of the first three African American state troopers to serve in Jefferson County. He later owned and operated his own HVAC company and faithfully served as a deacon at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.

Deacon Bell was loved and respected by many. He made a lasting difference in his community by mentoring, guiding, and encouraging numerous young men. He was also a proud and devoted Florida State Football fan.

Please keep his loving wife, children, mother, siblings, and the entire Bell family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Final arrangements are forthcoming and will be announced at a later date.
