We are excited to share that Signature HealthCARE’s first NeuroNest cognitive gym is making news!

Recently featured by McKnight’s Long-Term Care Clinical Daily, NeuroNest opened at Signature HealthCARE at Rockford Rehab & Wellness Center in Louisville, Kentucky, as an innovative dual-task therapy gym designed to support both cognitive and physical function.

NeuroNest brings together movement, cognition, engagement, and fun through individualized therapy plans and gamified activities that help residents work toward their goals in meaningful ways. The program is designed to meet residents where they are, with equipment and activities that can be scaled based on each person’s abilities.

As Christine Busby, Chief Operating Officer of Signature Rehab, shared in the article, combining cognitive activity with physical activity has been very beneficial for residents. NeuroNest is helping residents build confidence, increase engagement, and experience meaningful social connection.

We are so proud of the Rockford team for leading the way with this exciting first opening and helping bring Signature’s vision for cognitive wellness to life.

We are proud to see Signature Healthcare of Rockford Rehab & Wellness Center featured by the Spectrum News 1 team for the innovative NeuroNest programming that is helping residents stay active, engaged, and connected.

NeuroNest combines physical movement with cognitive exercises through dual-tasking activities that challenge the brain and body at the same time. From interactive cycling games to activities designed for different abilities and recovery needs, this program supports everyday skills, independence, and meaningful engagement.

Resident Irwin Hardin shared that NeuroNest has helped improve his mood and encouraged him to interact with others more. That is what this work is all about: helping residents move, think, connect, and thrive.

A special thank you to the Rockford team for helping spotlight the importance of cognitive engagement and functional wellness in older adults.

We are excited to continue advancing programs that support brain health, physical function, and quality of life for the residents we serve.
