His skill, attention to detail, and unwavering work ethic left lasting impressions both professionally and among all who were fortunate to work alongside him. Dale’s craftsmanship wasn’t merely a vocation but a testament to his spirit, perseverance, and pride in a job well done. He was given the nickname “Tinker” because he was constantly tinkering with anything he saw that needed fixing, even outside of work hours. Cars, electronics, appliances, furniture….. it was all fair game for his skills.

Ruth Ann Stallman (née Niehaus), 80, of Crestview Hills, formerly of Washington, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. She was born on October 18, 1945, in St. Meinrad, Indiana, to Amil and Agnes Niehaus. Ruth faced life’s many challenges with courage and grace, spending her final moments surrounded by her loving family after enduring numerous illnesses with remarkable strength.

Ruth’s greatest legacy is the family she cherished and nurtured. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Jack Stallman; her children, Brian (Valerie) Stallman, Kevin (Brenda) Stallman, and Brandi Stallman; her grandchildren, Ethan, Audra, Sydney, and Evan Stallman, as well as Elizabeth and A.J. Durnil; and her great-grandchild Olivia; brothers, Jim, Lee, Dave (Carol Jean), and John (Pam) Niehaus; her sisters, Rita (Dennis) Lovell, Cindy (Eugene) Verkamp, and Brenda Dawson. Ruth’s circle of family extended beyond, enriching her life with love and shared memories.
