In 2025, we launched Cam’s Lending Library, our first-ever free little library at the Camarena Health Chowchilla Health Center! 📖

This initiative provides children and families in Chowchilla and surrounding communities with greater access to books, encouraging a love of reading and creating opportunities for learning and discovery.

Powered by the Camarena Health Foundation’s CAM Let’s Read Program, Cam’s Lending Library supports early literacy, celebrates diversity, and helps children build a lifelong love of reading.

Through a simple take a book, leave a book approach, we’re making it easier for families to discover new stories, spark imagination, and share the joy of reading with others.

Because the Power of Care extends beyond healthcare. It’s about investing in our communities, nurturing young minds, and building brighter futures for the next generation, one book at a time.

Proposition 44 could cut billions from healthcare and put hundreds of community health clinics at risk. Reductions of this size could make essential patient services more difficult to sustain and limit our ability to care for communities throughout the Central Valley.
