What a wonderful way to wrap up the week in Assisted Living! We were delighted to welcome Monie’s great-granddaughter, Sophia, for a visit today.

Sophia recently completed 6th grade in Brandon and is already an accomplished cellist. We were so happy that she shared her musical talent with us this afternoon—it was a special treat for everyone!

A special guest visited Bethel today—Dakota the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Within minutes, she had boosted morale, charmed the residents, and secured several unofficial offers for permanent residency.

Anyone else having flashbacks to high school biology?

This particular flashback is blooming in the North day room - and isn't it just gorgeous!

What's so funny?

Resident Council is our monthly get-together where residents and staff gather to share updates, discuss questions or concerns, and keep everyone in the loop. Department heads are on hand to provide information and answer questions.

Something happened at today’s Resident Council that sent Carol and Bonnie into a serious case of the giggles. Their laughter was so contagious that a few smiles started popping up around the room, too. Whatever the joke was, it definitely brightened the meeting!

WE ARE SO EXCITED!

The family of former resident Barb Hansen recently made a very generous donation to Bethel, which helped us purchase two beautiful new glider chairs for our front lobby.

These specially designed chairs help keep our residents safe and comfortable. The chairs remain securely stationary until someone is safely seated, then the lock automatically releases to allow for a gentle, soothing glide. When exiting, the chair locks again to provide steady, safe support.

A heartfelt thank you to Barb’s family from all of us at Bethel — and especially from Norm! He was more than happy to volunteer as the very first person to try out the new chairs!

(PS - right after we took this photo, we made sure Norm's shoe laces were properly tied! 😀)

We’re so grateful for the kindness and generosity our residents receive from friends and family, so it’s always special when we have the chance to give back a little in return.

This weekend we had a wonderful time making several blankets that will be donated to children at the hospital.
