Chapter 12.

Today we celebrate Cruz.

Twelve years ago, God entrusted your mom and me with one of life’s greatest blessings. Since then, we’ve watched you grow into a young man who loves his family, competes with heart, works hard, stands firm in his faith, and strives to do what is right.

I’ve watched you hit baseballs, score baskets, sing in church, make straight A’s, care for your sisters, and overcome challenges that would have discouraged many kids your age. Through it all, you’ve continued to grow in character, confidence, and compassion.

As your father, there is no trophy, title, or accomplishment that means more to me than watching you become the man God created you to be.

The world will tell you to chase success. I pray you chase purpose.

The world will tell you to follow the crowd. I pray you follow Christ.

The world will tell you to seek comfort. I pray you seek courage.

Chapter 12 is here, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for your future.
