đź’šWe asked our team:

What is one small thing that can make a big difference for a young person?

Michael shared:
“Show up authentically, without shame.”

Young people need to know they don't have to hide parts of themselves to be accepted. Creating space where they can be honest, authentic, and free from judgment can make a lasting difference.

Last week, five members of FLYY's WINGS First Episode Psychosis team traveled to Green Bay to participate in LivingWorks ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training).

This intensive, hands-on training helps participants build evidence-based su***de intervention skills through practice, discussion, and real-world scenarios. ASIST focuses on helping people recognize when someone may be struggling and respond in ways that support safety, connection, and hope.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue strengthening our skills in service of the young people and families we support every day. đź’š

Small Things, Big Difference đź’š

We asked our team:
What is one small thing that can make a big difference for a young person?

Sam shared:
“Believe them.”

When a young person shares something, even if it’s hard to hear or understand, believing them builds safety, trust, and connection.

Mental health is health, and support should be accessible when it’s needed.

At FLYY, we work to reduce barriers so young people and families can access care that meets them where they are.

Your body and your brain demand rest, breaks, and time to passively process and digest your life experiences and new information. You don’t need to do anything to deserve a break - in fact, if you don’t schedule one, your body might decide to take one when it needs it and that might not be so convenient for you.

Small Things, Big Difference đź’š

We asked our team:
What is one small thing that can make a big difference for a young person?

Erica shared:
“Remembering the little things they share, even if it seems small to us, shows how much you are truly listening.”

When young people feel heard in the small moments, it builds trust in the big ones.
