๐Ÿš— Monroe Rides Needs Volunteer Drivers!

Have a little time to spare and a heart for helping your neighbors? ๐Ÿ’™

For many people in Monroe County, getting to an essential appointment isnโ€™t as simple as hopping in the car. A lack of reliable transportation can mean missed medical appointments, delayed care, and unmet needs.

Monroe Rides is working to change that โ€” one ride at a time.

Weโ€™re currently recruiting Volunteer Drivers who are willing to provide at least ONE ride per month to help local neighbors get where they need to go. You choose rides that work with your schedule, and mileage compensation is available while grant funds allow.

๐Ÿš™ Just one ride.
โฐ A little of your time.
๐Ÿ’™ A BIG difference for someone in our community.

Drivers must be 25+, have a valid driverโ€™s license, safe driving record and auto insurance, and complete required background checks and training.

Ready to ride with us? Learn more or sign up at monroehealth.org or call 423-333-2246.

Please SHARE this post! The perfect volunteer driver may be someone in your circle who simply hasnโ€™t been asked yet. ๐Ÿ’™

September is su***de prevention month. ๐Ÿ’œ Here at the Health Council, su***de prevention is an important topic that is discussed among our board of directors, staff, and volunteers regularly. Some of the way ways our council can help build a healthier, happier, safer community are through connections, understanding, empathy, and access to resources.

You may not always know what someone is experiencing. A check-in, a listening ear, a number shared at the right moment, can make a real difference. ***dePrevention starts with connection. ***dePrevention
