Monday’s are the day for some knowledge! Let’s talk about the window to the soul. The human eye! Our eyes are absolutely incredible! Our eyes are a very complex organ with over two million working parts, and believe it or not, it actually sees the world upside down. The cornea, which is the dome shaped window at the very front of the Eye is responsible for 70% of its focusing power amazingly, it is the only tissue in the human body that contains no blood vessels, and it receives its oxygen directly from the air. The iris or the colored part of your eye controls how much light enters the eyes, your iris is completely unique; while fingerprints have about 40 distinct features, the iris contains over 256 distinct identifying traits! The pupil, or the dark hole in the center of your iris is just like a camera shutter. It’s muscles, dilate or widen in the dark to let more lighten and constrict and bright areas. There are so many wonderful details about the human eye. Please remember to take care of them. They are precious and you only get one pair! 🤓
