THE HUNTER'S MOON IN TA**US: The Soft Survivalism Edition
Dear coven,
October's full moon is not here to make you hustle. She's here to make you honest about what will actually get you through winter.
The Facts, Because We're Grounded Witches
Mark your calendar: The Hunter's Moon peaks at 12:11 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, October 26, 2026, which makes Sunday night, October 25th the night to look up.
It will be at approximately 2°46' Ta**us opposite the Sun at 2°46' Scorpio.
Lore drop: It's called the Hunter's Moon because it's the first full moon after the Harvest Moon. The story is very practical Northern Hemisphere stuff. Harvest cleared the fields, game fattened on the stubble, and that bright, early-rising October moon gave hunters light to stock larders before winter. No romanticizing, just provision. Storage. Planning.
Which is exactly why it still hits in 2026.
The Astrology: Ta**us Sunbathing, Scorpio Investigating
Full moons are always an opposition. This one is the most iconic fixed axis in the zodiac.
Moon in Ta**us, Sun in Scorpio. Ta**us is ruled by Venus and is all body, bank account, boundaries, and blankets. Scorpio is soul, shared resources, secrets, and the stuff we pretend we are not attached to.
Ta**us says, "This is mine and it feels good." Scorpio says, "Cool, but why are you gripping it so tight you're losing circulation?"
This lunation is about security, personal values and emotional balance and spiritually it's a checkpoint for focus, strength, and inner work. As we gather inner strength and assess what's no longer needed to prepare for the months ahead.
Translation: Your nervous system is the economy now. What makes you feel safe is not a vibe, it's a strategy.
