Doulas need each other more than ever. 🫂

Every day reminds us how fragile our care systems are. Access to maternal health care, family planning, fertility treatment, and evidence-based guidance is harder than ever, and misinformation is everywhere.

That’s why community matters. Our Doula Mentor Program brings birth workers together so you’re not navigating your work alone.

Connect with peers who understand your clients, your challenges, and your mission. Slow down, reflect, and strengthen the skills you need to provide compassionate, inclusive, evidence-informed care... even in a world that feels divided and uncertain.

Enrollment for Fall opens soon. Join our Interest List and let’s support each other this year. → https://bit.ly/4gtxKBY

In birth work, there’s no scarcity. There’s abundance. ✨

There will never be enough of us, so we share what we know, support each other, and lift each other up. Because being a doula isn’t just about supporting families... it’s about supporting each other, too.

That’s at the heart of our Doula Mentor Program. ❤️ A year of guidance, accountability, mentorship, and community designed to help you grow your birth or postpartum work while connecting with other doulas who are building the field alongside you.

Fall enrollment is coming up! 👀

What actually matters in early labor is knowing what’s normal so you don’t feel like you need to figure everything out right away.

In our newest blog, Tanya Wills breaks down the parts of early labor that tend to surprise first-time parents most: including how inconsistent contractions can be at the beginning, what “manageable” actually feels like in the body, and why early labor is often more about observation than action.

If you’ve been wondering whether what you’re feeling is “real labor,” this is a helpful place to start.

If you're pregnant and trying to picture how labor will actually begin, you've probably noticed that no two people describe it the same way...

Most people think giving birth and going into labor starts like a movie. Water splashes dramatically to the ground, everyone starts running around in circles, and you immediately know it’s “go time.”

That’s not usually what happens.

Early labor is often subtle, inconsistent, and honestly, kind of boring. Knowing that ahead of time is one of the most calming things you can bring into your childbirth experience.

In a new blog, Tanya Wills walks you through what early labor is really like, including:

👉 what early labor actually feels like
👉 what contractions tend to feel like at the beginning
👉 how to tell the difference between early and active labor
👉 why you don’t need to time contractions right away
👉 why rest matters more than anything in early labor
👉 other early signs that might surprise you
👉 why early labor is as much mental as it is physical

✔️ Plus, a free Early Labor Guide you can download and keep on hand!
