I believe that healthy skin starts with a healthy skin barrier.
AND not listening to TikTok trends about skincare created by an 18 year old in their bedroom or wannabe skin influencers that are looking for engagement and views. What sets me apart is that I am in-person assessing, feeling, and navigating your skin and how it responds to treatments, products, seasonal changes, and physiological changes in your body. Your skinfluencer can’t do that. AI chat can’t do that.
I’ve seen clients come in after using every trending active imaginable; strong acids, retinoids, exfoliants layered on top of exfoliants, and they’re left wondering why their skin is more inflamed, more sensitive, or suddenly breaking out.
I’ve also seen the opposite.
When we simplify, focus on hydration, nourish the skin barrier, and choose quality products with supportive ingredients, the skin often begins to function the way it was designed to. Breakouts calm down. Dry, flaky skin becomes comfortable again. Fine lines look softer because hydrated skin simply performs better.
That doesn’t mean active ingredients are bad, they absolutely have their place. I use and recommend them when they’re appropriate. But healthy skin isn’t created by using the strongest products. It’s created by using the right products, at the right time, in a way that supports your skin instead of constantly fighting it.
My approach has always been to work with your skin, not against it. My goal isn’t to chase every trend, it’s to help you build skin that is healthy, resilient, and glowing for years to come.
Sometimes, less really is more. Plus some simple suggestions from me on botanical, plant based, home-care, or targeted planned use of actives or exfoliation treatments from me (the trained professional), in studio. 🤎
