🇺🇸 Your Choice Healthcare — September 11 Remembrance

Today, Your Choice Healthcare joins our communities and our nation in remembering September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives that were lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders, healthcare workers, service members, and ordinary Americans who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

September 11 changed our country. It reminded us how precious life is, how quickly everything can change, and how powerful we can be when Americans stand together.

Today, across our Eastman, Dublin, McRae, and Baxley offices, we pause to remember.

May we never forget those who left home that morning and never returned. May we remember the heroes who ran toward danger to help others. May we continue to pray for the families who still carry that loss.

And may we remember the unity, compassion, courage, and love of country that brought Americans together in the days that followed.

🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸

# # The Brown Method™ Devotional — September 8, 2026

# # # **“Growing Older, Growing Stronger”**

**Mind • Body • Spirit | Healthy Aging Month**

September is **Healthy Aging Month**, which makes it a perfect subject for today’s Brown Method devotional. Healthy aging is not something that suddenly becomes important when we reach 60, 70, or 80. It is a lifelong process. Federal healthy-aging guidance emphasizes physical activity, nutritious foods, fall prevention, social connection, and actively participating in our own health care. ([Health.gov][1])

But there is another kind of aging that doesn't show up on a laboratory test.

It is the maturing of our **spirit**.

# # # 🌿 BODY — Take Care of What God Has Given You

Our bodies change with time. Muscle mass, balance, vision, metabolism, bones, joints, and cardiovascular health can all change as we grow older. But aging does **not** mean we should simply surrender our health.

We can continue investing in ourselves.

Move your body. Eat foods that nourish it. Get appropriate preventive care. Protect your sleep. Maintain relationships. Exercise your mind. Keep learning. And don't ignore changes simply because you think, *“Well, I'm just getting older.”*

Healthy aging is about protecting function, independence, and quality of life—not trying to stop the clock. ([Health.gov][2])

Scripture reminds us:

> **“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things.” — 1 Timothy 4:8 (KJV)**

That verse doesn't tell us our physical health is unimportant. It reminds us that while caring for the body matters, **our spiritual health reaches even further.**

# # # 🧠 MIND — Don't Let Your Age Define Your Possibilities

Sometimes the greatest limitation of aging isn't physical—it is deciding that our best years must be behind us.

God never gave us an expiration date for having purpose.

You can still learn something new.
You can still change an unhealthy habit.
You can still repair a relationship.
You can still serve somebody.
You can still begin again.

**“With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.” — Job 12:12 (KJV)**

Years lived can become wisdom gained.

The wrinkles, scars, gray hairs, mistakes, victories, heartbreaks and lessons tell the story of a person who has **lived**. Don't despise the years God has allowed you to accumulate. Ask Him how to use them.

# # # ✝️ SPIRIT — We May Grow Older, But God Can Renew Us Daily

This may be my favorite part.

Our physical bodies inevitably age, but Scripture gives us an entirely different picture of what can happen inside us:

> **“Though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” — 2 Corinthians 4:16 (KJV)**

Think about that.

**Older on the outside. Renewed on the inside.**

The world places enormous value on looking young. God places value on becoming spiritually mature.

Maybe healthy aging should therefore mean more than protecting our heart, muscles, bones and brain.

Maybe we should ask:

**Am I becoming healthier in my relationship with God as I grow older?**

Am I more forgiving?

More patient?

More grateful?

More willing to listen?

More generous?

More faithful?

More aware that time is precious?

If we are blessed with another year of life, we should want more than another birthday. **We should want another year of growth.**

# # # 🙏 Today's Prayer

**Father, thank You for every year You have given me. Help me care for the body You entrusted to me, protect the mind You gave me, and continue growing in my relationship with You. Give me the discipline to make healthier choices and the wisdom to understand that growing older is not something to fear—it is a privilege. Let every season of my life have purpose. As my body changes, renew my spirit day by day. Help me use the years You give me to love, serve, teach, encourage, and leave something meaningful behind. In Jesus' name, Amen.**

# # # ❤️ Lynn Says

**“Don't spend so much time trying not to grow old that you forget to grow wise. Take care of your body so you can live your purpose, protect your mind so you can recognize your purpose, and stay close to God so you never forget Who gave you that purpose.”**
