Substance use continues to impact individuals, families, workplaces, and communities throughout LaSalle County. Through the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), behavioral health and substance use were identified as priority areas requiring increased education, awareness, prevention, and access to resources.
Community organizations are working together to address these needs through opportunities like the upcoming Drug ID, Narcanยฎ, and Resources Training hosted in Mendota. This free professional training is designed to build knowledge, strengthen confidence, connect individuals to life-saving resources, and support a healthier, safer community.
By increasing awareness and equipping professionals with practical tools, programs like this help advance the community-driven goals identified through the CHNA and support ongoing efforts to reduce stigma, prevent overdose, and connect people to care.
