Passionate about supporting Muslim mental health, families, couples, and youth with trauma-informed care. I am a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in trauma-informed care, currently serving both adolescent and adult populations in diverse clinical settings. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy with a strong integration of Solution-Focused techniques, particularly effective in partial hospitalization programs and court-mandated group environments. I entered this field from a deep commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of trauma, mental health, and substance use. My clinical experience includes treating adolescents with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, leading adult anger management groups in mandated settings, and working with couples to foster emotional safety, mutual empathy, and relational healing. As someone married for over 15 years, I bring both clinical training and lived relational insight to my work with couples. In addition to my clinical work, I provide Islamic counseling and am pursuing a second graduate degree in Islamic Studies, Philosophy, and Leadership. This further enriches my capacity for culturally responsive, spiritually grounded care, particularly for those impacted by spiritual abuse or navigating faith-based concerns. I am also a committed ally to the Deaf, blind, and disabled communities, with a background in child development and special needs. Supporting children and families with disabilities is a long-standing passion that informs my inclusive and adaptive therapeutic practices. I believe in the power of client-centered, culturally competent therapy to promote resilience, narrative reclamation, and sustainable change across all life stages and identities.
