A shift that changes how you work with every client: you're not just stretching muscles, you're working the fascia β€” the web-like tissue wrapping every muscle and bone into long connected lines.

That's why a shoulder complaint can trace to the opposite hip, and why the client who's 'done all the stretches' is still stuck. Corrective Stretching Technique works the whole line: free the fascia with compression, then load it with active resistance so change holds across the chain, not just at the sore knot. If clients keep coming back, this is probably the missing lens.

Learn to see and work the whole fascial line at the in-person Corrective Stretching Technique Certification β€” Nov 6, 7 & 8 in Miami Beach. To sign-up, comment 'CST' below.

A chest stretch you can do in your doorway. No table, no partner.

Rounded shoulders usually get blamed on a weak upper back. But if the muscles across your chest are short, they pull your shoulders forward no matter how many rows you do. You can't out-posture a tight chest.

This is a self-stretch for your pec major (the big muscle across the front of your chest), and it's one of the moves in the Corrective Stretching app. Instead of just leaning into a doorway and waiting, you work against resistance as the muscle lengthens. That's the Corrective Stretching Technique idea: active, not passive, so the new range has a reason to stay.

You may feel it the next day. Mild soreness can simply mean the muscle was asked to do something new.

The app is built so you can do this on your own schedule, one issue at a time: shoulders, hips, neck, feet. Pick the one that bugs you most and start there.

For the trainers, therapists, and teachers: 'they're tight' is not an assessment. A proper joint assessment β€” testing range one joint at a time, client lying down and supported so nothing compensates β€” tells you which joint is actually restricted and which is picking up slack.

Take gravity and stabilizers out and the true limitation can't hide. Corrective Stretching Technique builds every plan on it: assess the joint, find the restriction, load exactly that with resistance. Stop treating symptoms; start changing what drives them.

Learn to assess and correct like this at the in-person Corrective Stretching Technique Certification β€” Nov 6–8 in Miami Beach.

Sometimes the glutes don't need a stretch β€” they need to be pried loose first. Sit for years and they get weak AND gummed up: the fascia dries out and sticks to the muscle, like two sponges glued together. Stretch a stuck muscle and you just drag the glued unit around.

Broad, slow compression warms and rehydrates the tissue so the layers slide again β€” then the stretch has something real to lengthen. Corrective Stretching Technique sequences it: free the tissue, then load it.

The full free-the-tissue-then-load sequence is what we teach at the in-person Corrective Stretching Technique Certification β€” Nov 6, 7 & 8 in Miami Beach. Reserve your spot, comment 'certify' below.

Most sessions start with the client pointing at where it hurts. Useful β€” but where it hurts is rarely where it started. In the Corrective Stretching Technique certification, you learn to run a real postural and joint assessment: how someone stands, how a joint moves (and where it quietly doesn't), what the body is compensating for.

Once you can see the pattern, you stop guessing at protocols and start choosing the right one. It's a skill you'll use on every single client β€” whether you train, treat, or teach movement.

We cover it hands-on Nov 6, 7 & 8 β€” in-person in Miami Beach or online.

Do this to unlock a back that's been 'just tight' for years. Your lats run from your upper arms down to your low back β€” so when they're short they limit your overhead reach AND tug on your low back AND round your shoulders. One muscle, three complaints.

Here's the assisted lat stretch in Corrective Stretching Technique: lying supported, you pull against a fixed point, contract, and we lengthen under real load. That resistance tells the nervous system the range is safe to keep. Free the lat, and the shoulder and low back often quiet down for free.

Want to learn to coach assisted, loaded work like this? It's exactly what you'll practice, hands-on, at the in-person Corrective Stretching Technique Certification β€” Nov 6–8 in Miami Beach.

If you do hands-on work, your thumbs and wrists are on a countdown.

Modified ashiatsu β€” foot and bodyweight instead of hands for broad, deep compression β€” lets you work tissue hard without grinding your own joints. The setup is everything: foot placement, support position, how you load your weight for even pressure. In Corrective Stretching Technique this is step one: free the fascia with compression first, then load the freed tissue with resistance stretching. Pressure, then length. Better for clients, kinder to your hands.

Add this to your toolkit β€” and save your thumbs β€” at the in-person Corrective Stretching Technique Certification, Nov 6, 7 & 8 in Miami Beach. Seats are limited, comment 'certify' below to secure your spot.

Your hamstring isn't one muscle. And you're only stretching part of it.

Your hamstring isn't one muscle β€” it's three, and the standard toe-touch mostly hits the middle and inner strands while the outer one gets away clean. That lateral hamstring ties into the side of the knee and outside of the hip; when it's tight and the others aren't, you get uneven pull and a stretch that never finishes. Corrective Stretching Technique targets the lateral hamstring specifically with active resistance, because tightness is never evenly spread. Stop stretching your hamstring like it's one thing.

Want the anatomy and the hands-on technique to target strands like this precisely?
