✅💙 We sat down with Jamie Lockhart (Planned Parenthood), Mary Bauer and Phuong Tran (ACLU of Virginia), and Kenda Denia and Cheyenne Combs (Birth in Color) to talk about what’s at stake November 3rd.

This Tuesday, Question 1 asks whether to protect reproductive freedom in Virginia’s Constitution, from prenatal care and birth control to IVF, miscarriage care and abortion.

This weekend we hit the road across Virginia with one message for our people: voting IS CRUCIAL.

WHY IT’S ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT THIS YEAR:
On Tuesday, November 3, reproductive freedom is literally on the ballot. Amendment 1 would protect your right to make your own decisions about prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, birth control, abortion care, and miscarriage management, and keep those decisions OUT of politicians’ hands.

★ ABOUT THE AMENDMENTS:

✔ YES on 1
protects your right to make your own decisions about pregnancy, birth control, miscarriage care, and fertility care.

✔ YES on 2
removes Virginia’s outdated same-sex marriage ban and protects every couple’s right to marry.

✔ YES on 3
makes voting a fundamental right for every Virginian. Right now, the state Constitution doesn’t guarantee it, so it can be taken away. This protects your vote no matter who the governor is.

Our Birth in Color doulas helped make it happen. ✨

They show up for families in the birthing room, advocate when no one else will, and make sure every birthing person is seen, heard, and respected.

Respectful maternity care isn’t just a designation. It’s what our doulas live out every single day to ensure quality support for all.
