Please join us in welcoming our new PT student Dakota! She will be around the clinic for the remainder of the summer!

Dakota Jones is originally from Rozet, Wyoming, and is a current third year physical therapy doctorate student at the University of Montana. Dakota loves this profession as it let's clinicians connect with patients and treat them more holistically, giving patients the tools and empowerment to get back to what they love to do. When Dakota is not working towards becoming a PT, she loves to hike, camp, fish, hunt, be a water bum, and bake!

Thank you SO much to the army of moving angels that came to help us this weekend. We got the entire clinic moved and set up this weekend. It was no small feat. The furniture was the final thing to go and this crew moved it all in 1 hour and 20 minutes! It was truly amazing! And THEN, we had so many people show up the next day to help us set it all up and unbox EVERYTHING.

We are all so grateful to everyone who helped make this dream a reality! We could not have done it without your selfless donation of time and energy after hours.

We are officially seeing patients at our new location!!! We are so excited to get started at 2606 South Ave W. and wanted to provide some easy to follow directions along with a sneak peek at our new waiting room!

When you arrive, you can follow the arrow on the sign by the road. It will take you past the blue house at the front. Once past, you should see the parking lot along with the playground and our signs! Once there, just follow the arrows and balloons to the front door!

Over summer, we will be adding a few new faces as students begin their clinicals with us. To start us off strong, please join us in welcoming Janaya!

Janaya Huff is a current occupational therapist doctorate student from the University of North Dakota who will be here until mid-August. Janaya earned undergraduate degrees in marketing and finance before discovering her passion for occupational therapy and pursuing a career in the field. She is particularly interested in helping individuals with community integration and mental health needs. She is excited to be here and learn from all the amazing staff at Samara, all while helping kiddos reach their fullest potential! In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, being the fun aunt, and going on long walks with her dog Thatcher.

ATTENTION MEDICAID USERS:

APTA Montana is currently looking for people to take a few minutes out of their day to call the Governor's office about a bill that will help us continue to see patients using Medicaid.

Currently, Montana Medicaid is making it difficult to access PT, OT, and ST due to low reimbursement, but APTA Montana is trying to help pass a bill that will increase reimbursement rates so we can continue to give your children the best care we can!

Please, if you have a few extra minutes, we ask you to call the governor's office and spread the word. The more people to reach out, the more likely the legislators can get this bill passed and allow continued care for patients with Medicaid!

Congratulations to Stephanie for winning the UMPT Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award! This recognition was awarded due to Stephanie’s service towards the UMPT program and Missoula as a whole. Stephanie has shown her dedication to those around her through her work with Samara and UMPT, caring for patients no matter the circumstances. We are so excited to be able to recognize her for all of the hard work she has done!

Some of you may have noticed our new sign is up... BUT!! We don't move until JUNE 15TH!!!

We have had lots of folks comment on our new sign and we are so excited as well! However, please remember we do not start seeing patients there until Monday, June 15th! We will continue to send out reminders as the date gets closer, but for now, we will still be at 1280 S. 3rd St. W. until the 15th!
