PAINT IS ON THE WALLS🤩

SW Drift of Mist for anyone who's been following along.

Like those moments in therapy when the fog starts to lift✨

Feeling deeply hasn't always felt like a gift.

For a long time, I saw my empathetic nature as something I needed to "toughen up" or change. But looking back, I simply hadn't learned how to use that part of myself in a way that was helpful to me.

Today, it's one of my greatest strengths. Not just as a therapist, but as a human.

Feeling deeply allows us to connect deeply. And when we learn to pair empathy with healthy boundaries, it becomes something incredibly powerful.

If you've ever been told you're "too sensitive," I hope you know that sensitivity isn't a weakness. When nurtured well, it can become one of your best strengths.🤎

Communication is key. 🔑

It can be messy. It can be uncomfortable. And it takes practice.

But when we're able to express our feelings, explain why they matter, and communicate what we need, we create more opportunities to be understood. And to understand others, too!

This simple framework can help shift conversations from blame to understanding.

It's been a minute since I've posted a remodeling update! And even since these photos, the ceiling grid has been redone, too.

Not pictured is bathroom #2 and the breakroom being done as well!

Next step - priming and painting! Just yesterday we ordered flooring and doors😍🤎

Over the last year, this practice has grown from an idea into reality, and in many ways, beyond what I originally imagined for it.

And as it continues to grow, it felt like the right time for a name that could grow alongside it.

So, I'm excited to officially introduce...

🤎Gaining Ground Therapy🤎

To me, Gaining Ground isn't about having it all figured out. It's about taking the next right step, finding your footing, gaining confidence, and then doing it again.

Because growth isn't always one giant leap. More often, it's the small, consistent steps that create meaningful change.

Here's to trusting the process, honoring the progress, and continuing to gain ground along the way!

My office 😍

The door in the back left of the first picture didn't make the cut.🫡

It used to lead to a small corridor that connected to what will become the break room and supply room. Instead, that area is being repurposed into shared storage space!

And while it may have been cool to have my own secret passageway, I've never complained about having too much storage.😜
