A little lakeside cleanup at Lake Koocanusa after completing the Montana BDR. Rose took the plunge, Chad broke out the clippers, and the bikes continued wearing half of Montana. 😂

Putting Montana in our Doubletake Mirrors, we pointed the bikes toward Idaho… because apparently we still hadn’t had enough dirt.

Rose and I were invited to Billings, Montana, for the 108th running of the Great American Championship Hillclimb - and it was definitely worth the detour!

Done and done - our first BDR from beginning to end. From Island Park, Idaho to the Canadian border.

8 Days (9 for us due to mechanical issues)
930 miles of Montana backcountry
80% dirt 20% tarmac
1 crash (Rosie)
1 flat tire (300 Rally)
1 leaking radiator (Africa Twin)
Countless smiles (both of us)

Rosie is ready for more, and I'm ready for something a little lighter than the Africa Twin! 😁

We owe someone a b**r!

On Day 7 of the Montana BDR, we missed the designated bypass and ended up at a collapsed bridge.

It made for a memorable moment, but conditions and closures can change quickly. Always use the latest route information, obey posted signs, and turn around when that’s the safest option.

DELAY OF GAME! Someone pi**ed her pants. And by someone, I mean my Africa Twin 🤨

We hadn't quite had our fill of riding by the time we finished at day 6 of the BDR, so we decided to get a jump start on day 7. But apparently, the Africa Twin had other plans, so I guess we'll be calling it a day after all...
