At Winnie’s Play Café, we believe play is so much more than just play. 💛

As an occupational therapist, I wanted our space to be intentionally designed so children can have FUN while naturally working on skills that support their development.

👶 Our littlest play area is designed for toddlers and younger children, with soft play and sensory-rich activities that encourage reaching, grasping, releasing, crawling, exploring colors and sounds, and developing those early fine and gross motor skills.

🏠 Our middle play space introduces imaginative and pretend play with playhouses, dress-up, and opportunities for children to create their own little worlds. Around age 2 and up, pretend play becomes such an important way for children to practice communication, social interaction, problem-solving, creativity, and everyday life skills.

🛝 Our larger back play area is geared toward ages 3 and up, with bigger gross-motor challenges that encourage climbing, balancing, navigating obstacles, coordinating both sides of the body, and building strength and confidence.

One of the things I love most about occupational therapy is that we look at the whole child—and play is one of a child’s most important occupations. Children learn about their bodies, their environment, other people, and themselves through play.

That’s why Winnie’s wasn’t created as just an indoor playground. We wanted to create intentional play spaces that grow with your child—from those first little grasps and crawls to climbing, imagining, socializing, and exploring independently.
