A sweet surprise for our residents!

Last Friday, we had some special visitors stop by for a little reverse trick-or-treating! Instead of collecting candy, they brought the treats right to our residents.

DOLLY DAY!

Our residents spent all month getting ready for Dolly Day on 9/25, and they definitely brought the sparkle!

From bedazzling their own Dolly-inspired shirts and creating a special Dolly display to making sparkly prizes for Dolly Day Bingo, there was plenty of rhinestone magic leading up to the celebration.

On Friday, it was finally time to show it all off! Our residents rocked their Dolly looks and had a great time celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton.

A whole lot of sparkle, creativity, and Dolly spirit made for one fun day!

Our Candy Monster is hungry for Halloween treats!

After plenty of creativity, crafting, and hard work, she’s officially ready to start collecting candy for our residents to hand out to trick-or-treaters this Halloween.

We’re asking our community to help fill her up with unopened bags of individually wrapped candy or treats. You’ll find her waiting just inside our front doors. Simply drop your donation right in her mouth!

Thank you for helping our residents get in on the Halloween fun and make some sweet memories with our community this year!

Talk about a memorable visit!

More than 20 years ago, Dolly Parton made a surprise stop at Monroe Health Services to visit the father of one of her longtime backup singers. During her visit, she spent time with residents and staff, signing autographs, taking photos and creating a memory that is still talked about today.

That special piece of North Shore Health history was recently featured by Spectrum News 1, including Steve, who was working that day and is still part of the Monroe Health Services team today.

We are honored to share that a family member of our late resident, Lila, has donated this beautiful bench in her memory. The bench is a wonderful reflection of who Lila was - she loved being outside, gardening, flowers, and she brought sunshine into our lives every day. With its bright sunflower design, it feels especially fitting to all of us that knew Lila. We would like to thank her family for their continued support and for helping us honor Lila's memory in such a meaningful way.

We had an egg-cellent time celebrating Easter! 🐣💐

From dyeing beautiful eggs to a fun-filled egg hunt, the week was full of smiles—and even a special surprise visit from the Easter Bunny and everyone's favorite puppy! 🐰🐶✨

Laura has officially graduated and will soon be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)!

Laura has been a valued part of our team as a CNA for the last 3 years, and we are all so proud to see her hard work and dedication pay off. Her compassion, commitment, and genuine care for our residents truly make a difference every day.

Residents love her for her warm & caring personality; focusing on the small, but very important details that make them feel extra special, she brings a positive energy to our community every day!
