This month, we have been honoring the generations who have shaped our families, communities, and nation through their hard work, sacrifice, wisdom, and love.

Every older adult has a story worth hearing, lessons worth sharing, and a legacy worth celebrating. Their experiences remind us where we've come from and help guide where we're going.

Today, as the month ends, we encourage you to take a moment to connect with an older adult in your life. Ask about their favorite memory, listen to their story, and let them know how much they matter.

đź’™ Thank you to all Older Americans for the lives you've lived, the lives you've touched, and the example you've set for future generations.

Welcome, Our New Medical Director: We are honored to announce that Kaishauna Guidry, MD, HMDC, has joined our team as Medical Director.

Dr. Guidry brings a unique perspective to our team. Before her distinguished career in medicine, she served her community as an educator—a “teacher’s heart” that continues to define her clinical practice today. She understands that medical oversight is only effective when it is delivered with empathy and a focus on the person, not just the patient.

A graduate of UCLA and Texas A&M College of Medicine, Dr. Guidry is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is a certified Hospice Medical Director (HMDC). She is also the author of The Real Deal About Hospice, a book dedicated to demystifying care and helping families find peace during life’s most delicate transitions. Dr. Guidry is the founder of Mourning Dove Medical and the creator of the Healthcare Roadmap™. By embedding a physician advisor directly into our team, we are able to offer a care model that is both strategic and deeply supportive—meeting needs proactively rather than reactively. Using her roadmap to identify clinical decline early allows families to remain focused on connection rather than crisis management. As a California-based physician, Dr. Guidry provides direct patient care and manages physician-required documentation and urgent prescriptions. This removes many of the “act of care” hurdles, allowing families to return to the “spirit of caring.” Dr. Guidry also strengthens our ability to advocate by providing the clinical oversight necessary to honor a loved one’s autonomy and ensure their wishes remain the primary guide for all medical decisions.

“Together, we move from coordination to leadership, ensuring that your journey is defined by clarity, dignity, and joy.”
— Dr. Kaishauna Guidry

We invite you to join us in welcoming “Dr. G” to the team. We are confident that her wisdom, compassion, and clinical rigor will elevate the care experience for every family we serve.

This Mother’s Day, we honor the women who held our hands through every season of life. 💙

Mothers comforted us, protected us, encouraged us, and carried us through moments we may never fully understand until later in life. And sometimes, life gently shifts — and the ones who once cared for us begin to lean on us in return.

At About Senior Solutions, we see the beauty, sacrifice, and love woven into caregiving every day. Today we celebrate mothers, grandmothers, daughters, and every generation connected by compassion and care.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women whose love continues to guide generations. 🌷

Sometimes, the kindest response isn’t correcting—it’s connecting. 💛

When a loved one remembers something differently, it can be tempting to gently “fix” the details. But in many cases, correcting can lead to confusion, frustration, or even anxiety.

Instead, try redirecting the moment.
Meet them where they are.
Follow their lead.
Shift the conversation toward something comforting or familiar.

Because in caregiving, preserving peace, dignity, and emotional safety often matters more than getting the facts exactly right.

These small moments of grace can make a big difference—for both of you.

💬 Have you ever used redirection in a meaningful way? We’d love to hear your experience.

📞 If you’re navigating memory changes or caregiving challenges, About Senior Solutions is here to support you every step of the way.

đź’› Client Success: Small Steps, Meaningful Progress
At About Senior Solutions, we celebrate the victories—both big and small—that truly change lives.

One of our clients came to us completely immobile, requiring gurney transport for every appointment. With thoughtful care planning and ongoing oversight for physical therapy, she began to regain strength—step by step.
Today, she can transfer into a wheelchair and even stand briefly on her own. An incredible milestone that reflects her determination and the power of coordinated care.
But her progress didn’t stop there.
During visits with our Life Enhancement Coach, Shannon, they discovered a shared love of music—especially the accordion. That connection sparked joyful memories and brought a renewed sense of identity and emotional well-being.
✨ Because care isn’t just physical—it’s personal. It’s about connection, dignity, and helping people rediscover what brings them joy.

Abuse can happen
Neglect can go unnoticed
Scams are becoming more sophisticated than ever
