Congratulations to K9 Raider on completing his first shift with the Moorhead Police Department! 🐾

🐾 Welcome to the team, K9 Raider! 🐾

K9 Raider officially completed his first shift with the Moorhead Police Department yesterday, and we couldn’t be more proud of his hard work and dedication throughout training. Raider and his partner, Officer Eric Moore, now make up the third active K9 team in our department!

A little more about Raider:
🔷 Born on September 29, 2024, in Slovakia
🔷 Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix
🔷Began his 12‑week dual‑purpose training on March 9, specializing in narcotics detection, tracking, and apprehension
🔷 Named in honor of the Alpha Raiders, the Marine infantry company where Officer Moore proudly served. 🇺🇸

We also want to give a huge thank you to Roger and the team at Farmstead Living for their generous donation that helped us welcome Raider into the program. Roger’s longtime support — including contributions toward previous K9s Dex and Gimli — continues to strengthen our department and community. Dex and Gimli joined Raider in sharing their appreciation!

We’re excited for this new chapter and can’t wait for you to see Raider and Officer Moore out in the community.
