We have a busy, meaningful, and memory-filled September planned at Oakwood Terrace! From honoring our history and celebrating our residents to building friendships, sharing stories, and making new memories together, there is so much to look forward to. 🥰
✨ SEPTEMBER 11 — “I REMEMBER” CRAFT
We will take a special moment to honor and remember those who were lost on September 11, 2001. Residents will participate in an “I Remember” craft as we reflect, remember, and pay tribute to those whose lives were forever changed.
🎉 SEPTEMBER 14–18 — ASSISTED LIVING WEEK 🎉
A week dedicated to celebrating the incredible people who make our community so special!
👵❤️ SEPTEMBER 14 — GRANDPARENTS DAY
We will celebrate each of our wonderful residents with a little special gift to remind them just how loved and appreciated they are. Because every resident has a story, a lifetime of memories, and a place in our Oakwood Terrace family.
📖❤️ SEPTEMBER 15 — COMMUNITY HERITAGE COOKBOOK
We are putting together something truly special — a Community Heritage Cookbook! Residents will share favorite recipes, family traditions, and the stories behind the foods that have brought generations together. 🥧🍪
✨ SEPTEMBER 16 — STORIES THAT SHINE
Our residents have lived incredible lives filled with adventures, accomplishments, love, family, and memories. We will dedicate a special “Stories That Shine” wall to showcase the amazing journeys of our residents and celebrate the lives they have lived. 🌟
🧩❤️ SEPTEMBER 17 — FRIENDSHIP WALL
“We All Fit Together!”
Residents and staff will create a special puzzle-piece craft celebrating the connections that make our community unique.
At Oakwood Terrace, we aren't simply a workplace. We work in your loved one's home. And when we walk through those doors each day, we become part of something bigger — a family. ❤️
🎬🍿 SEPTEMBER 18 — STAR-STUDDED MOVIE NIGHT ⭐
We are ending Assisted Living Week with a special movie night featuring a fun movie theme, drive-in-style treats, and plenty of popcorn! 🍿🎥
💜 SEPTEMBER 21 — WORLD ALZHEIMER’S DAY
We will spend time educating our residents about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, helping create greater understanding of how these conditions can affect individuals and their families. 💜
🎃🍎 SEPTEMBER 22 — RITTER C***R MILL COMMUNITY TRIP
We’re heading out for a fun fall adventure at Ritter C***r Mill! 🍎🍂🎃
🎟️ $10 per resident + $10 per family member joining the outing
The $10 ticket includes all resident purchases during the outing, as well as pumpkins for our upcoming pumpkin painting event.
🕜 Departure: 1:30 PM SHARP
Due to limited space in facility vehicles, families are strongly encouraged to drive their own loved ones if they are able to join us.
🎟️ Tickets can be purchased through the Life Enrichment Department no later than September 16th.

This is one milestone you simply do not want to miss!
Please join us from 2:00–4:00 PM as we celebrate Claire’s incredible 100th birthday! 💕💯
