Friday Night Sober Social extended hours 12-8pm Friday August 14th..

🎤💜 HOPE SPEAKS: Open Mic 💜🎤
Recovery Cafe Skagit invites you to an evening of hope, healing, remembrance, and community.

Whether you choose to share your story at the microphone, read a poem, perform a song, or simply participate in one of our interactive activities, there is a place for you here. You don't have to speak to make an impact—your presence alone matters.

Throughout the evening, you'll have the opportunity to take part in several meaningful activities:

🌳 Hope Tree
Write a message of hope, a prayer, or the name of someone you're honoring and add it to our Hope Tree as a symbol of healing and new life.

💌 Encouragement Cards of Hope
Write an anonymous note of encouragement for someone who is still struggling with substance use. Your words could be the hope someone needs to keep going.

🎤 Hope Speaks Open Mic
Share your heart through music, poetry, spoken word, or by answering prompts like:
• Recovery gave me...
• What hope means to me...
• One person who never gave up on me...
• If I could tell someone struggling one thing...

🕯️ Light of Hope Candle Ceremony
We'll close the evening together by lighting flameless candles in remembrance of those we've lost, in celebration of those living in recovery, and in hope for every person still struggling. Together, we'll shine a light that reminds us no one is ever beyond hope.

This evening is about more than raising awareness—it's about breaking stigma, honoring lives, celebrating recovery, and reminding our community that hope is real, recovery is possible, and no one has to walk this journey alone.

💜 We hope you'll join us and invite your family, friends, and neighbors. Together, let's fill the room with hope.

💜 OVERDOSE AWARENESS WALK – LET'S PACK THE FAIRGROUNDS! 💜

On Tuesday, August 25, our community will come together to remember those we've lost, stand beside those still struggling, celebrate recovery, and remind one another that hope is always possible.

This is more than a walk—it's a chance to show that no one fights addiction alone and that every life has value.

📍 Recovery Cafe Skagit Schedule for Tuesday, August 25:
🕑 Recovery Cafe will close at 2:00 PM so our staff and volunteers can head to the fairgrounds to help set up, volunteer, and serve during this meaningful event.
💜 Our 2:00 PM Recovery Circle will still meet in the Cooler Room.

We invite our members, families, friends, community partners, and neighbors to join us. Please share this post, invite others, and help us fill the fairgrounds with love, compassion, hope, and healing.
Together, we honor every life.
Together, we break the stigma.
Together, we remind our community that recovery is real and hope is alive.
One walk. One community. One message: No one should have to recover—or grieve—alone.

💜 We hope to see you there.

💜 CAMINATA DE CONCIENTIZACIÓN SOBRE LA SOBREDOSIS: ¡LLENEMOS EL RECINTO FERIAL! 💜

Invitamos a nuestros miembros, familias, amigos, socios comunitarios y vecinos a acompañarnos.

Today, Recovery Cafe Skagit was honored to stand alongside our community at the Swinomish "This Has to Stop" March Against Addiction.
It is always a deeply moving experience. Seeing the photos of so many loved ones lost to the disease of addiction is heartbreaking. Every face represents a life that mattered, a family forever changed, and a reminder of why we must continue this work.
At the same time, there is hope. It was inspiring to walk beside so many people who are living proof that recovery is possible. Every person in recovery is a testament that healing can happen, lives can be rebuilt, and hope is stronger than addiction.
Addiction does not discriminate, and neither should compassion. We are all in this together. By standing together, supporting one another, reducing stigma, and extending hope, we can make a difference—one person, one family, and one community at a time.
A heartfelt thank you to the Swinomish community for organizing such an important event and for bringing people together to honor those we have lost, support those still struggling, and celebrate those walking the path of recovery. Your leadership, compassion, and commitment to ending the stigma surrounding addiction are deeply appreciated.
There is hope. Recovery is real. We do recover. ❤️
