A glimpse into one of the many incredible days at this year’s True Grit Spinal Cord Program’s residential summer program ⛳
Our True Grit campers had the opportunity to get out on the course, build confidence, try something new, and most importantly, have fun thanks to the NJ Golf Foundation, PGA Tour, New Jersey Section PGA, and Rutgers University Golf Course.
From adaptive techniques and equipment to a whole lot of determination, these young golfers showed us what true grit really looks like.
True Grit bridges the gaps beyond traditional rehabilitation through adaptive day events, a residential summer program on the Rutgers campus, and year-round connection with peer mentors and experienced spinal cord injury therapists. Participants gain real-world skills that promote greater independence at home, in school, and in the community while exploring adaptive sports, recreation, education, and employment opportunities.
