🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes at Mona View Cemetery

Friday, Life Align staff and participants came together to place flags on the graves of our fallen veterans at Mona View Cemetery as we prepare for Memorial Day. It was a powerful reminder of service, sacrifice, and community.

Afterward, we fired up the Blackstone, with Taylor Jordan Bentoske doing what he loves as we shared burgers, connection, and good conversation. Community service is recovery in action—showing up, giving back, and healing together. Thank you to our own Hesselink Timm for setting this up and leading the way.

We are always grateful for the chance to honor those who served and to continue building strength, hope, and unity in our recovery family. 🫶

Thursday our Life Align team and several of our incredible participants had the opportunity to attend the UFAM Rally at the Capitol in Lansing. It was an inspiring day filled with hope, connection, and powerful voices coming together to support recovery, reduce stigma, and remind Michigan that healing is possible for everyone.

We are grateful for every conversation, every story shared, and every moment of unity. Thank you to UFAM for creating a space where recovery communities across the state can come together and be heard. 🫶

We’re excited to announce that our new group schedule is officially live! Our goal is to create a safe, focused, and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Please note: During group sessions, our doors will be closed to avoid interruptions and to protect the privacy of all participants. If you plan to attend, make sure to arrive on time so you don’t miss out.

Need a ride? We’ve got you! FREE transportation is available with a 24-hour notice.

Best of all, every group and all recovery services at Life Align are completely FREE. No barriers. No judgment. Just support, healing, and community.

We are so grateful that the Life Align team is able to spend the next few days in Detroit at the MI Peers Conference, soaking up powerful knowledge and gaining tools we can bring back to our community. It’s always inspiring to be surrounded by people who share the same passion for recovery, healing, and hope.

We reconnected with familiar faces, made new friends, and strengthened the network that keeps this work moving forward. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and represent our community with pride.

Today, Life Align had the honor of partnering with the Alliance for the Great Lakes to give back to something that gives so much to all of us—our lakeshore.

We spent the morning at Mona Lake Park picking up trash, clearing debris, and doing our part to protect the beauty of our community. Jordan grilled up some hot dogs, hamburgers, while providing water to our amazing volunteers who showed up ready to make a difference.

Recovery by any means…it’s about rebuilding, restoring, and reconnecting. Just like we cleaned up the shoreline, recovery is a process of clearing out what no longer serves us and making space for something healthier and stronger. It’s about taking responsibility, showing up, and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

Today was a reminder that healing happens in community. When we come together with purpose, we don’t just clean up parks—we help restore hope, dignity, and connection.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported. This is what recovery in action looks like. 🫶
