🤝 Connect with fellow Veterans in a welcoming, confidential group setting where you can share experiences, listen, and build supportive connections with others who understand military life. Whether you choose to participate or simply listen, you’re invited to engage at your own pace. Many Veterans find that talking with peers who have faced similar challenges helps reduce isolation and offers encouragement for moving forward. You don’t have to carry everything alone.

PTSD EDUCATIONAL EVENT - 6 CEUs Available for Nurses, Social Workers, and Nursing Home Administrators.

Few have been present for 10,000 dying Veterans—five VA hospice nurses have. What they witnessed offers powerful lessons on finding personal peace. From those trained for war and those facing the end of life, a profound concept emerged: Soul Injury.

This 6-hour program is broken into 5 modules:
• Soul Injury: A Wound to Your Sense of Being
• Liberating Unmourned Loss and Hurt
• Fear of Helplessness and Loss of Control
• Self-Compassioning
• Dare to Forgive!

Join us on June 12th from 11:30am until 2:00pm at Avow: Dick Lee & Mary Martha Tonra Waterview Room Ispiri Community Center1205, Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105 for a special gathering celebrating the strength, courage, and stories of women Veterans. Enjoy a welcoming space filled with connection, conversation, and appreciation for those who have served our country.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., followed by a screening of Served Like a Girl and an engaging conversation with fellow women Veterans. Come share, connect, and celebrate service together.

A special thank you to Windie Wilson for donating a collection of her delightful reading and coloring books to Avow Kids!

Through the adventures of her pup, Snikerdoodle Sunshine, children are invited into tropical journeys filled with imagination and joy. For kids navigating grief and loss, reading and coloring can be healing tools- offering a whimsical escape, creativity, and a gentle way to process emotions.

Avow’s Adult Bereavement Program invites you to Moving Forward for Self-Care, an evening dedicated to reflection and connection. We’ll also celebrate the graduates of our program as they take the next steps forward with hope and healing.

Today, our Avow Volunteer Storyboarding Team began creating the very first stage of our beautiful Remembrance Boards, thoughtfully designed to honor the lives, stories, laughter, and lasting legacies of our loved ones. Watching our volunteers pour their hearts into every detail was a beautiful reminder that memories continue to shine brightly through the people who care so deeply. Every story matters, every life is treasured, and every memory deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Avow Kids Spring Scrapbook! 🌼

Spring brought meaningful moments for children and families across Southwest Florida through Avow Kids programs and events.

This season included:
🏕️ Spring break camps where kids learned coping skills through creative workshops and playful exploration.
🏒 An Everblades hockey game experience, with one special kiddo featured as Kid of the Game on the ice and jumbo screen.
🌎 Expanded outreach in LaBelle and at Collier County Public Schools' ESE & Mental Health Fair in Immokalee, helping connect with new communities.
🌺 Field trips to the Botanical Gardens, where nature created space for peace and reflection.
💛 Weekly groups and family events that continued to foster connection, support, and growth.

Avow Kids provides no-cost grief and loss support for children ages 5–17 across Southwest Florida. Every experience helps kiddos learn how to grow through what they go through.
