Dr. Wallace attended medical school at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Affinity Medical Center. He completed an orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at Beacon Orthopaedic and Research Education Foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has worked extensively with athletes at the high school, college, and professional lev

el including Kings Mills high school, Wittenberg University, and the Cincinnati Reds major league baseball team, along with other local high schools and colleges in the Cincinnati area. He works with the athletes, assuring their quick and safe return to sport. His interests in orthopaedics include: the arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, elbow and knee as well as general orthopaedic care. He also has extensive training in joint reconstruction and fracture care. Outside of his practice, Dr. Wallace enjoys golf, fishing and outdoor fitness activities.

When the fan in your operative suit decides to take the day off… 🥵😅

We expected to feel like the professionals in Outbreak… but without the Hollywood drama.

Turns out, a powered surgical suit with no airflow is a lot less “Dustin Hoffman saving the world” and a lot more “Is anyone else suddenly in a sauna?” 😆

Thankfully, this was just a fan malfunction—not a movie plot. The procedure went well, and we all got a good laugh afterward (once the helmet came off).

🏅 75 MARATHONS. ONE INCREDIBLE ATHLETE.

Some milestones deserve a standing ovation.

This amazing patient recently stopped by after completing her 75th marathon…and somehow she’s just getting started! 👏

Last month she took on Disney’s legendary D***y Challenge, one of the toughest endurance events in running:

🏃‍♀️ Half Marathon
🏃‍♀️ Full Marathon

Four races in four consecutive days. Nearly 50 miles.

🦴💥 BROKEN ELBOW… WITHOUT THE METAL? 💥🦴

Not every broken elbow needs plates and screws.

This patient sustained a displaced olecranon (elbow) fracture, but instead of using traditional metal hardware—which can sometimes become prominent or require a second surgery for removal—I repaired the fracture using a high-strength suture tension band construct.

✅ Less prominent hardware
✅ Designed to allow early motion while the bone heals

Every fracture is unique, and the best treatment depends on the injury pattern, bone quality, and the patient’s goals. It’s another example of how advances in orthopedic surgery continue to provide more treatment options for our patients.

💀 Skull Crusher… almost lived up to its name. 💀

Thankfully, it wasn’t his skull that was injured.

While performing skull crushers during a triceps workout, this patient felt a sudden pop and suffered a complete triceps tendon rupture—a rare but serious injury that can dramatically weaken elbow extension.

Fortunately, we were able to repair the tendon using a knotless rip-stop double-row construct with Arthrex anchors, providing a strong repair designed to support healing and rehabilitation.

💪 A reminder that even experienced lifters can experience tendon injuries. If you feel a sudden pop, lose strength, or notice swelling after lifting, don’t ignore it—early evaluation can make a big difference.
