Morningstar Living's 5-Star Leadership Training Series is bringing our supervisors together for five sessions focused on building stronger, more confident leaders. Through interactive learning, discussion, and collaboration, our leaders are developing practical skills they can bring back to their teams.
In Session 2, our leaders focused on what it takes to build strong, engaged teams - from hiring thoughtfully and supporting a successful onboarding experience to recognizing contributions and creating a workplace where team members choose to stay.
The session was facilitated by our CHRO, Brynn Lee, and HRBP, Jennifer Polles, who guided our supervisors through discussion, reflection, and practical strategies they can apply with their teams.
We’re proud to invest in the growth of our leaders and give them the tools to build stronger teams and a stronger community!

What a fun day at the Heritage Village pool! Residents dove into our Wacky Water Games and filled the afternoon with laughter, splashes, and great friendship. With the season winding down, everyone is soaking up every last moment of sunshine and fun together.

As RN Clinical Coordinator, she is known for her compassion, professionalism, and collaborative approach, helping residents and families feel supported while fostering teamwork and thoughtful, well-coordinated care.

Whether mentoring fellow team members, strengthening processes, or bringing positivity to celebrations and employee appreciation events, Valerie leads with empathy, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to enrich the lives of those around her.

As a Driver in our Transportation Department, Keith consistently goes above and beyond to support residents—not only by providing safe transportation, but by helping them navigate everyday challenges that preserve their comfort, independence, and peace of mind. Whether researching solutions, offering a helping hand, or simply taking the time to listen, Keith's thoughtful approach makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those he serves.

Outside of work, Keith enjoys spending time with his wife, Karen, at their cabin in upstate New York, where he enjoys canoeing, riding his e-bike, and researching information on the computer.
