As a young rural Louisiana girl I was blessed to see the world before I could drive. My parents made sure I had what I needed to navigate various environments by exposing me to life beyond the small town of Grambling, Louisiana. But mostly, my father and older brother always made me feel safe to do me.

Most of the photos I share online are curated to fit a message or vibe. But these are random, unfinished and captured during moments I felt really safe.

Over the weekend I was in Miami surrounded by good people and good energy. It was odd leaving Mexico and traveling back to the US, but even in the flow of that I somehow felt safe.

I physically placed 99% of my belongings in storage at the end of September 2025, and started a new adventure. On this path, I’ve been holding true to the freedom energy my father & brother poured over me as a child, and continue to drench me with as I enjoy my search for a new place to land.

Although I don’t have children nor a husband, my life is full, and my wealth is the freedom to live, share & love.

I fully and completely RECEIVE the blessings my ancestors kiss me with each morning…for my soul is FREE.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius arrived Sunday and she did not come with soft lighting. 🔥 She came with a torch.

The kind that illuminates the beliefs you inherited before you were old enough to question them. The kind that burns through every story you have been telling yourself about why you are not free yet. What you have been calling wisdom might be exactly what has been keeping you small.

This moon knows the difference. And so do you.

Most of us are trying to manifest more while our nervous system is still running a pattern that says it is not safe to receive.

Not because we are broken. Not because we are unworthy. Because the body learned. Every time something good arrived and then left. Every time wanting felt dangerous. Every time staying open cost something. The body filed all of that away and started bracing before the good thing could even land.

These five signs are what that looks like in real life. And I see them everywhere. In the women who give endlessly and struggle to let anyone pour back into them. In the ones who watch good things slip away right before they fully arrive. In the ones who cannot slow down because stillness feels like a threat.

This is nervous system work…body, mind and soul. The block lives in the body and that is exactly where the Receive Challenge goes.

A receiving block does not always feel like a block. It feels like almost. Like the relationship that gets close and then quietly falls apart. Like the money that arrives and somehow disappears before it can settle. Or like the opportunity you talked yourself out of right when it was finally yours.

These are not coincidences. They are patterns stored in the body and floating through the nervous system. The patterns run through settle between your shoulder blades that never quite releases, and the belly that tightens when something good gets close.

The block is not just in your mindset; it is in your body. And once you can name it, you can begin to move it.

Was on my rooftop yesterday recording some content and I had to pause for the sky behind me.

This quick breath meditation doesn’t capture all the colors, but it felt like the sky became the ocean as the sun said goodbye.

💫 Manifest literally means seized by the hand. Our grandmothers never forgot that. Wellness culture did.

What got taken from us was not just ceremony and ritual. It was the knowing that we had the power to call in what we needed through our own bodies, our own breath, our own spoken word.

🌻 In Louisiana Hoodoo the prayer moved through the hands before it moved into the world.

🌊 In Yoruba tradition Oriki called forward what was already placed inside you at creation.

💫In Kemetic practice Heka taught that the spoken word activated by breath became a living force.

The body was always the instrument. The hands were always the tool. That was never superstition. That was technology.

Colonization tried to sever that knowing deliberately. Ceremonies banned. Rituals criminalized. The body that prayed and spoke things into existence was silenced. But some things cannot be taken when they live in the body.

🌱 Our grandmothers kept the practice alive in the kitchen before dawn, in the anointed hand, in the blessing spoken over food and water. The knowing survived because they made sure it did.

You cannot receive what your nervous system does not feel safe holding. No vision board will override a body that is braced against receiving. That is the piece wellness culture keeps leaving out.
