Birthmark Doula Collective

Birthmark Doula Collective Helping families have positive & empowering births. What is a doula? Why should I hire a doula?

A doula is a trained and experienced professional that provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after birth, or in the postpartum period. A doula’s job is to completely support the pregnant woman and to help her to have an empowered and positive pregnancy, birth, and/or early parenting experience. Doula support has been shown to:
- Increase positive bi

rth experiences for the woman (and her partner),
- Reduce the use of medical interventions (such as C-sections)
- Shorten labor time
- Reduce medical costs (fewer procedures, shorter stay)

Rest is important to us here at Birthmark Doula Collective, because we truly understand that we cannot pour from an empty vessel.

To ensure our vessels are filled to full capacity to provide you with the quality care you deserve, we will be taking a break June 22- July 5 and our office will be closed.

If you are already under contract with a doula and need to reach out to them they will be available at a limited capacity. If you are 38 weeks or more and your doula is on call, they will remain on call during our break.

We look forward to connecting with you after our break! ☺️✨💛

Emotional.
Mental.
Spiritual.

And support during this time matters deeply.
Save this for yourself or someone entering postpartum 🤍

But rest is not something you have to “deserve.” It is part of healing.

This is your reminder to slow down when you can, ask for help when you need it, and let yourself be cared for too 🤍

We talk a lot about “having support” after birth, but what does that actually mean?

Real postpartum support is practical.

It’s nourishing.
It’s gentle.
It’s making sure the mother is cared for too.
If you know someone entering postpartum, this is your reminder: showing up matters 🤍

Somewhere along the way, we normalized mothers pouring endlessly from an empty cup.

Postpartum support should not be considered a luxury. It is necessary care.

New parents deserve nourishment, rest, tenderness, and community—not pressure to “bounce back.”

Let this be your reminder to check on the mothers in your life 🤍
