Another successful @ deployment completed in Los Angeles, CA.

This project involved upgrading three openings to the Kisi cloud-based access control platform, including secure door access, video intercom integration, Meraki surveillance integration, system testing, and end-user onboarding.

As organizations continue to standardize security systems across multiple offices and regions, consistent ex*****on becomes just as important as the technology itself. Whether a project is located in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, California, or anywhere in between, our goal remains the same: deliver a seamless experience from consultation and design recommendations through implementation and support.

In addition to the deployment itself, our team worked with the customer to help establish consistent infrastructure standards that can be replicated across future locations. These standards included inside-panel labeling identifying all inputs, relays, and field device connections, dedicated red data jacks for security devices, red 28AWG patch cords for all access control equipment, and Panduit wrap-around labels installed on both ends of every patch cord to improve identification, panel drawings, documentation, troubleshooting, and long-term supportability.

For multi-site organizations, standardization is often just as valuable as the hardware. Consistent labeling, cabling, documentation, and installation practices help reduce service costs, simplify onboarding, and create a better experience for both local teams and remote administrators.

We're proud of another clean installation and grateful for the opportunity to support our clients as they continue to grow and standardize their security infrastructure nationwide.

A closer look at one of the collaboration environments we recently completed as part of a larger multi-room Yealink Zoom Rooms deployment in New York City.

This flex room was designed to support larger meetings, hybrid collaboration, presentations, and multi-purpose team use while maintaining a clean and user-friendly experience throughout the space.

The room includes:
• 85” display
• Yealink Zoom Rooms system
• Multiple integrated camera solutions
• In-ceiling microphones and speakers
• Wall-mounted room control interface
• Centralized AV infrastructure

During the design process, we consulted with the client and GC to improve both long-term usability and serviceability throughout the space. One example involved transitioning from fixed display mounting solutions to full-motion mounting systems that both maintained a clean ultra-flush appearance while also improving future service accessibility and reducing maintenance complexity over time.

We also recommended expanding the audio design from two ceiling speakers to four in order to provide more even audio distribution and improved speech intelligibility throughout the room.

Proud of the work our team completed on this deployment.

Recently completed a new 3-door access control deployment utilizing Kisi cloud-based access control technology for our client's Midtown Manhattan office.

During the installation, our team identified a manufacturer alignment issue on one of the newly installed door frames which prevented the electric strike from aligning properly. Rather than delaying the project, our technicians modified the opening, repaired the frame, and completed the installation cleanly on-site.

Real-world projects do not always go exactly according to plan, and one thing we take pride in at IDR Technology Solutions is our ability to troubleshoot and solve field issues that many integrators simply are not equipped to handle.

We’re proud to share that the client was extremely happy with the final result, and we are currently discussing a larger 20-door upgrade for their Connecticut headquarters as a result of the successful NYC deployment.

Proud of the team on this one.

One of the access control platforms we genuinely enjoy deploying is Kisi.

There are a lot of systems in the industry that can technically “do the job,” but what separates great platforms from frustrating ones is usability, scalability, and how intuitive the experience is for both administrators and end users.

One of the biggest reasons we like Kisi is how simple the platform is to manage. Organizing locations, user groups, credentials, and permissions is clean and straightforward, which makes day-to-day administration much easier for clients.

From an end-user perspective, features like:
• Mobile credentials
• Geofencing
• Proximity unlock
• Hand-wave unlock functionality

help create a modern and seamless access experience.

Users can simply install the Kisi app, walk up to the reader, wave their hand near the device, and unlock the door without needing to physically present a card or fob.

From an IT and operational standpoint, another major advantage is visibility. Because of Kisi’s IP-based architecture, administrators can monitor not only controllers, but also readers across the network.

We also place a strong emphasis on how systems behave in real-world environments — not just on feature lists. Operational details around monitoring, event handling, integrations, and system flexibility can make a major difference long-term.

Another major positive has been Kisi’s support team. We’ve consistently had responsive experiences during deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

IDR Technology Solutions has been deploying Kisi systems since 2021, and over the years we’ve completed enough successful installations that many of our clients now rely on us for larger multi-site and national rollouts.

A big part of that success comes from the fact that we genuinely enjoy working with the platform and understand how to properly deploy and support it in real-world environments.

Recently completed a multi-room Zoom collaboration deployment for a client in New York City consisting of six conference and collaboration spaces, including executive conference rooms and a large flex room environment.

The project includedYealink Zoom Rooms systems, integrated camera solutions, in-ceiling microphones and speakers, centralized AV infrastructure, and dedicated room control interfaces designed to create a consistent and user-friendly meeting experience across the office.

During the design process, we worked closely with the client and GC to improve long-term serviceability by recommending full-motion mounting solutions rather than fixed ultra-flush configurations. We also expanded the flex room audio design from two ceiling speakers to four to improve overall audio coverage and speech intelligibility throughout the space.

Proud of the work our team completed on this project.

Clean infrastructure starts long before the cabling is installed.

For this project, IDR Technology Solutions consulted, designed and built the rack and ladder rack infrastructure from the ground up with a strong focus on organization, scalability, and long-term serviceability.

As part of our structured cabling deployments, we work with clients during the planning phase to help design rack layouts, equipment placement, cable pathways, and future infrastructure growth before installation even begins.

This build included:
• Custom ladder rack pathways with 90-degree radius sweeps
• Strategic sleeve placement for cleaner cable routing into the rack system
• Bonding and grounding infrastructure
• Labeled patch panels and rack elevations
• ISP demarcation labeling for future carrier coordination
• Clean cable management and service loops throughout

We also coordinated rack placement with the client in advance to avoid interfering with planned future HVAC equipment within the space.

Details matter. A clean and organized system is not just easier to look at — it improves future troubleshooting, serviceability, and long-term reliability.

Proud of the work the team delivered on this one.

Recently completed another successful deployment utilizing cloud-managed access control and intercoms infrastructure.

Proud to see one of our developing technicians take major ownership of this project while maintaining the level of quality and attention to detail we expect on every installation.

Clean conduit installation and cable management, thoughtful intercom placement, and long-term serviceability always matter, especially in commercial environments where reliability is critical.

Strong work by the team on this one.

Completed a 7-building intercom modernization project upgrading legacy apartment entry systems to new Akuvox smart intercoms.

This project included:
• Custom flush-mounted retrofit installations
• Fabricated steel mounting plates painted to match existing entrance framing
• Centralized management/security call buttons tied back to an iPad station in the main security booth
• Multiple entrance door repairs throughout the property

Many of the existing doors had serious issues including damaged maglocks, ripped-off exit devices, and blown power supply fuses caused by exposed wiring contacting metal surfaces. Our team diagnosed and repaired each affected opening while still completing the full 7-building project with just two technicians in 3 days.

Proud of the team on this one. Clean installs and problem-solving matter.
