Recovery takes a team, and this week is about honoring that team.

For National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, we're celebrating the physical, occupational, and speech therapists who help our residents regain strength, mobility, and independence after surgery, illness, or injury. Their work happens one session at a time, often side by side with nurses and physicians who are all pulling in the same direction.

Rehabilitation isn't just about getting back to where you were. It's about getting people home.

Wishing our Jewish residents, families, and care members a Shanah Tovah Umetukah, a good and sweet new year.

Rosh Hashanah invites us to reflect on the year behind us with gratitude and look to the year ahead with hope. It is a time to cherish the people in our lives, care for one another, and embrace the opportunity for renewal.

May the new year bring peace, good health, and a renewed sense of purpose as we come together as a community to care for one another and do our part to make the world a better place.

Summer went out with a bang at SVDP!

The SVDP team and PACE Bronx team came together out on the patio for a Summer BBQ, trading the workday for good food and even better company. Plenty of laughs and a great way to connect as a team.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation changed forever.
On this Patriot Day, we remember the lives lost on September 11th and honor the first responders and everyday heroes whose courage carried us through that day. May it be a time for remembrance, prayer and resolve.

Please join us in this prayer:
Holy God, Creator of All People and All Nations, we lift to you in prayer all those who died on 9/11 and entrust them to your loving care.

Console their families, friends, and all who still mourn in the hope that all who trust in you, also trust in your faithfulness.

Help us in our resolve that in the face of hatred, we will show love; that in times of despair, we will be voices of hope; that in times of darkness, we will be sources of light.

Help us in our resolve to continue helping each other as we did on 9/11 and leran anew to trust in your unfailing love.

Amen.

The Bronx PACE Wellness Center turned into a carnival this week!

Participants spent the day playing games, winning prizes, and enjoying treats, with special raffles brought by our friends at Elara Caring, who joined the celebration. Colorful decorations and a festive atmosphere set the tone, but it was the energy in the room that made the day feel truly special.

None of it happens without our care team members, who volunteered their time to run stations, lead games, and make sure every participant had a moment to remember. 🎉

Labor Day is about honoring the people whose work holds everything else together.

At ArchCare, that means our CNAs providing hands-on care every day, our skilled nurses managing complex medical needs, and our social workers supporting residents and families through some of life's hardest moments. It means our administrators and HR team keeping the systems running behind the scenes, so care never misses a beat.

Every one of these roles is essential to ArchCare's mission, and none of them work in isolation. It takes all of us, together, to give the people we serve the care they deserve.

Happy Labor Day to our care members and the entire ArchCare community. We couldn't do this without you. 💙

A record-setting $400,000 will go to Calvary Hospital's therapeutic care, bereavement support, and CampCompass®, Calvary's camp for grieving children. That's what a day of golf, tennis, and community can raise when people show up for each other.

Calvary's 38th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic brought supporters together at Brae Burn Country Club for a day of friendly competition and real support of Calvary's patients and families.

Amid the celebration, Calvary Care Technician Wendy Moncada was awarded the Dennis E. Berberich Scholarship, given each year to a nursing team member pursuing her path to becoming a registered nurse. It's a tradition that carries the Berberich family's belief in Calvary's people forward, one recipient at a time. Congratulations, Wendy!

Thank you to everyone who made this year's Classic possible, and who help Calvary bring more compassion to more people in more places.

No boat traveled alone. 🚣

At Calvary's CampCompass® this month, grieving children and teens decorated rowboats and set them out together as one fleet. Each boat told a different story of loss and love. ArchCare stands behind a program built on the idea that grief may be deeply personal, but healing happens in connection with others.

Since 1997, CampCompass® has given kids a place to be with peers who understand, alongside trained counselors and volunteers who show up for them year after year. Watching this year's campers navigate the water together, is a reminder of why we partner in this work.
