We staff only the highest quality Registered Nurses, Home Health Aides and healthcare professionals. These individuals understand that our clients expect the very best talent in home care. The majority of our Registered Nurses hold a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and have experience in various ICU and critical care units in the top hospitals in the city. Their nursing skills are current, and they have demonstrated an unsurpassed capability to assess patient needs and problem solve. We selectively recruit Home Health Aides to find exceptional individuals which has enabled us to achieve a new benchmark of quality in the home healthcare market. Alliance Homecare differentiates itself from other agencies by upholding what we call “The Grandma Rule.” If we interview a caregiver and can honestly say we would trust that person with our own family, we will hire them for our clients. Last year, we were honored to sponsor the Pearl River Varsity Hockey “Pink the Rink” event alongside Hudson Valley Radiology. This incredible night united a community to raise funds for their local families affected by cancer and to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Meet Michele Teter, Co-Founder of Alliance Homecare and a Neuro ICU nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. 🫶

For Michele, a childhood experience gave her a firsthand understanding of the impact nurses can have. That experience stayed with her and ultimately inspired her to pursue nursing.

Today, Michele is one of the more than 50% of Alliance employees who are nurses, serving as one of our three Co-Founders and continuing to make a meaningful impact on the patients and families we serve.

Today, on World Alzheimer’s Day, we recognize the millions of people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia, as well as the families and caregivers who walk alongside them. 💜

At Alliance Homecare, this cause is especially meaningful to us. Caring for people with complex and changing needs is at the heart of what we do, and we understand the importance of supporting both individuals and the families who care for them.

That’s why we’re proud to participate in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s for another year, alongside our TrustHouse Care team.

On November 14, our team will gather in Central Park to walk, raise awareness, and support the Alzheimer’s Association’s work in research, care, and support.

In 2009, Alliance welcomed its very first client, Former New York Governor Hugh L. Carey.

His family came to Alliance looking for a highly competent nursing team. What they found was much more: nurses who treated him with dignity, communicated consistently with his family, coordinated closely with his doctors and care team, and approached challenges with skill, calm, and compassion.

As we continue celebrating 20 years of Alliance, we’re proud to look back on the people and families who helped shape our story and the standard of care we continue to uphold today.

The project was inspired by a program one of our founders heard about through his church, centered on bringing meaningful moments and connection to people who may otherwise feel isolated.
