You know what builds a strong community? Getting together to have a fun time! 😄

Last week, we joined local Queens leaders, health care professionals, and community organizations for an amazing Health Fair in Jamaica! From dental screenings to wellness resources and consultations, we spent the day on the one thing that connects us all: the health and well-being of our communities.

We were glad to be joined by Rep. Grace Meng, Assemblymember David Weprin, and the local leaders who all share the same vision. Thank you to Efficient Medical Care PC and DACA Dental PC for having us and everyone who came together to make the event possible. ❤️

We’re so excited to share that we’ll be sponsoring Alzheimer's Association- New York City Chapter for their annual Walk to End Alzheimer's on November 14! 🚶 🧠

This walk helps raise funds and awareness to a debilitating condition that affects more than 180,000 older adults and the over 700,000 people who care for them in NYC. Many families lack the support needed to properly care for their loved ones, often having to be the primary caregiver themselves. That’s why we’re taking this opportunity to help our neighbors in any way we can.

Now this is a milestone worth celebrating! 🎉💙

Families, nurses and community leaders came together in the Bronx to celebrate 20 years of our Nurse-Family Partnership Program and recognize 127 families who've completed the program this year.

Since 2006, our Bronx NFP nurses have supported more than 8,000 families during pregnancy and through their children’s second birthdays, building relationships that can last long after the program ends. Dr. Sonia Mercado, Director of NYC DOH Nurse-Family Partnership said it best. “Two decades of commitment, partnership and impact [were] built day by day, family by family, nurse by nurse,” said “Your dedication has shaped 20 years of healthier pregnancies, stronger parents and brighter futures for our children.”

Congratulations to this year’s families, and thank you to every nurse, partner and supporter who has been part of this incredible 20-year journey! We also thank Senator Hon. Gustavo Rivera., Dr. Mercado and representatives from the offices of Governor Kathy Hochul, Congressman Rep. Ritchie Torres, and Assemblywoman Yudelka Tapia for joining us!

For us, physical therapy is about more than recovery. It’s helping people build their confidence and regain the ability to do the things we take for granted. ❤️

Jose knows that all too well. “Knowing I’m making a difference in somebody else’s life. Things we might take for granted—getting out of bed, walking a short distance, going to the bathroom, getting dressed, or answering the door—are really big things for a patient, and seeing them being able to do those things again is what keeps me going.”
