A meaningful Memorial Day weekend at Pickering Manor ❤️🤍💙

Residents enjoyed patriotic music, picnic-style refreshments, games, a flamingo visit and time together while reflecting on the meaning of Memorial Day and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We remember with gratitude the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect our freedoms and our nation.

It was inspiring to see so many local professionals, organizations, and community partners come together for an afternoon of connection, collaboration, and conversation — all united by a shared goal of supporting seniors, families, and the greater Bucks County community.

Thank you to the student volunteers from Bucks County Technical High School, along with our dedicated volunteers, for spending time with our Supportive Living residents! 💙

The afternoon featured two resident favorites — Bingo and balloon volleyball — bringing plenty of laughter, movement, and friendly competition to the neighborhood. We are so grateful for everyone who helps create such fun and engaging afternoons for our residents. 🙂

These intergenerational visits are so special—for our residents and for the students. Thank you for spending your time with us!

Our Supportive Living residents enjoyed a lunch outing to Applebee’s and a cozy coffee trip to McCaffrey's Food Markets Café—always a favorite for good conversation and time together.

Back at Pickering, the fun continued in the kitchen with fresh banana bread and a batch of classic no-bake butter mints—the kind you remember from weddings, diners, and special celebrations 🍪
